BELLE OF THE BEACH

Beach babe Kristen Bell took to the sandy shores of Malibu on August 17, soaking up the sun with her beau Dax Shepard while hanging out with friends. After getting lubed up with spray-on sunscreen (making for some awesome awkward pics), K-Bell attempted to zap away the nearby paps with her electrical powers and failed miserably, as she and her man were snapped smooching away later on in the day. For her day at the sea, the Forgetting Sarah Marshall star wore an aqua bandeau bikini (check out Syla by Sylvie Cachay’s Anna Bikini in Butterflies Blueberry or the Giselle Bikini in Aqua by Kushcush) with a vibrant purple cover-up that Kristen stripped off as soon as she hit the sand (try Letarte’s similar version in white, the Popcorn Stitch Flutter Sleeve Tunic in White). Though other celebs glamorize their beach get-ups with jewelry, inappropriate footwear and oversized sunnies, KB kept it natural, something that should be praised! It’s amazing K-Bell even found time to hit the beach, between filming highly anticipated upcoming seasons of Heroes and Gossip Girls while production wraps for her first starring role in a feature film, When in Rome. Bell’s biggest fans have something even better to look forward to in the upcoming season, with rumors of a Veronica Mars movie in the works. A close friend confirmed KB is dying to play the character that landed her on Maxim’s Hot 100 list last year, and last week Kristen sat down with the show’s creator, Rob Thomas. After bumping into her former boss on the set of Heroes, the duo sat down to discuss the transition to the silver screen, tentatively scheduled for 2009. If you’re a fan, cross your fingers, you just might see your fav detective back on the big screen!
