The beautiful Jennifer Connelly was spotted posing for photographers as she made her way into the Ed Sullivan Theater in NYC on January 11, to film a promotional appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman", donning head-to-toe Balenciaga. Jennifer started with an eye-catching multicolored fringe leather skirt (for a more subdued yet still beautiful skirt, try Jenny Han's Tile Lace Skirt in Black), and paired it with a fashion-forward pair of Balenciaga heels and black tights. I'm not usually a fan of open toed shoes with tights, but I think it works here in Jennifer's favor. For the rest of her 'fit, she chose a black blazer (like Zoa's Classic Cropped Blazer in Black) along with a black scarf (add a subtle bit of color with A Graves' Paisley Scarf in Grey) and an oversized ring on her right hand (add in the dash of turquoise with Amrita Singh's Pebble Ring in Turquoise). What are your thought's on JC's edgy look here - is she doing Balenciaga proud? Jennifer was appearing on Letterman to promote her new movie Creation, in which she worked with her husband Paul Bettany. On working with Jennifer, Paul said: "It’s so hard to say things like this when it’s your own wife, but it was an honor working with her. She’s so fastidious and focused that it really lifts your game." He continued, "It helps that you’re on a very tight schedule, six-day weeks for eight weeks. It was quick for the amount of work we had to get done, and it was great that we were able to talk about it in the evenings before closing our eyes." Are any of you out there interested in checking out the flick?

if it wasn't Balenciaga and this was any other person, this look would immediately be torn apartguest on Jan 17 2010 @ 08:54 AM

I love it, chic & sophisticated. I don't think it would be "torn apart" on someone else, I could easily see this on someone in the fashion industry.guest on Jan 17 2010 @ 02:25 PM
i like everything except the shoes. dark grey legging might break the uniformity of the look.guest on Jan 17 2010 @ 06:41 PM
Love most of the look - hate the shoes. She can wear the skirt, not everyone could.guest on Jan 17 2010 @ 10:37 PM

I actually like her style, it's very modern. The shoes sorta remind me of horse hooves, though So i'm not a fan of them.guest on Feb 28 2010 @ 11:19 PM
