BACK TO THE '80s

I feel like Gwen Stefani has really been revving up her fashion choices lately, rocking some amazingly edgy looks - and it even seems as though she is going for a Rihanna thing with the 'do. Not that I'm complaining - I think Gwen is killing it! The mother of two was spotted exiting a car and heading into Milk Studios in the Chelsea district of NYC yesterday, September 10, looking fierce. Gwen (along with pretty much every other celeb at the moment) is in town for NY Fashion Week, as Gwen was gearing up for her L.A.M.B. fashion show. For her daytime look, she started with a sheer black tee (Gwen's been super into the sheer look lately, pairing sheer black tees with neon bras - here, she's opting for black over blue - so try Qi's semi-sheer V Underslip in Black) under a beautiful grey-blue coat (for a similar look, check out Mike & Chris' Ronner Vest in Slate), that she then paired with black pants (like Alice + Olivia's Black Satin Straight Pant in Black) and savage grey and black booties. Gwen completed her look with an oversized pair of black shades and a bright blue caryall (I would suggest CC Skye's Blake Bag in Electric Blue or Antoinette Lee Designs' Stella Tote in Royal). What are you feelin' about GS' look here, readers - is she pulling this off? For her new L.A.M.B. collection that debuted yesterday, The Associated Press is reporting that she got a lot of inspiration from the '80s. Bring on the strong shoulders and harem pants! The collection includes a lot of "off the shoulder Flashdance sweaters and acid wash jeans," and the collection can be described as "a punk vibe with some of the spring season outfits, including studded suspenders attached to the skinniest of skinny black jeans and racy lace tights worn only with a body suit." For her bow, Gwen "wore black cargo pants and an asymmetrical jacket. Her hair matched the models with a pouf right at the front." I definitely think that Gwen is one of my favorite celebrity designers, besides Ash & MK, obviously! And you? Let me know, readers!
