B GOES GREEN

Always some version of classy, the lovely Beyoncé Knowles went out to dindin with her man in NYC on August 25. B was looking especially fancy in her tailored coat and heels, and even her bodyguard sported a collared shirt with a sweater vest – but apparently hubby Jay-Z didn’t get the memo, clad in his usual tee and sneaks. Acting like their usual super secretive selves, the jubilant married couple exited the restaurant sharing a laugh – maybe because they were both rocking their sunglasses at night? For her night out, Beyoncé put together a very chic ‘fit, wearing an olive green herringbone jacket that I have to assume is Chanel when combined with the layered gold pearl necklace (try Robyn Rhodes’ Grace Necklace in Gold for a much more affordable version). B layered an olive tank under her polished jacket (like PGD Style’s Fancy Tank in Walnut) with blue ultra skinny jeans (like Desert Blue’s Phoenix Skinny Jean in Navy, which fits as comfy as leggings) and dressy neutral toned heels. B added her signature oversized hoops (check out Kimberly Faith’s Large Open Hoop Earrings in Brass Gold), funky tortoise shell spectacles, and her fav python print tote (similar to Carla Mancini’s Tote with Front Tassel in Python/Black) to complete her look. While some celebs tend to be too matchy-matchy with their dinner wear, what do you think about the herringbone and python combo – does it work for her? Besides settling in to married life in the city, B has been hard at work recording the new charity single, “Just Stand Up,” with just about every songstress in the biz, from Rihanna and Mariah Carey to Leona Lewis and Natasha Bedingfield. Beyoncé will also appear at this year’s “Fashion Rocks” showcase in September, with proceeds also benefiting the Stand Up to Cancer foundation. B is also feverishly working on her next fashion venture: she and mama Tina Knowles will feature their designs in a fundraising fashion show for Barack Obama on September 9. Besides B and her mom, the show will also include Diane Von Furstenberg, Marc Jacobs, and Juicy Couture, to name a few. The event is hosted by Sex and the City fashionista SJP and Vogue headmistress Anna Wintour and will benefit Obama’s campaign – and also probably provide some sweet threads for Michelle on the campaign trail!
