The beautiful Beyonce showed up to the red carpet of MTV's 2009 Video Music Awards not wearing a metallic look (unlike many of the other fashionistas of the evening) but in this sexy red mini dress that showed off her long limbs and her enviable décolletage. Overall, B was radiant last night, and seemed to be in very high spirits. For a more casual take on Beyonce's look, take a look at Black Halo's Bustier Detail Pleated Mini Dress in Persimmon or Graham & Spencer's Cami Dress in Red, and pair either of these eye-catching frocks with blinged-out hoop earrings (like Michele Michel Jewelry's Swarovski Hoops in Silver) and oversized bangles (try CC Skye's Carson Cuff in White, which also comes in four other shades). Beyonce finished her look with black satin heels and long, wavy locks. What are your feelings about B's look at the VMA's, readers - do you like the way the dress fit? While there's no denying that red is definitely a great color for Queen B, I am having a few problems with the fit of the garment. The skirt seems to be a bit tight, and the front portion of the dress seems to be a little too pouffy/baggy in my mind. From the front it's not so bad, but when B turned sideways, it wasn't too pretty a site. Although this may not have been one of Beyonce's strongest looks, she still looked beautiful and confident posing in front of photographers. While the whole Kanye-Beyonce-Taylor drama was definitely the focal point of last night's show, Beyonce proved to be the classy, dignified and respectful artist that she has the reputation of being. After Kanye rudely interrupted Taylor's first VMA acceptance speech (I'm not even going to get into that), Beyonce called T on stage during her win for Video of the Year to have her moment. Amazing!
