AWKWARD RED O RUN-IN

Enjoying a night out with her new love, Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson were spotted exiting Red O restaurant in Los Angeles on October 21 after a spicy Mexican meal. I don't know about you, but when I go out for a date I tend to comb my hair and leave the camo at home – but that's just me! Jess layered up in a black scoop neck top (like Tylie Malibu's Key Sleeve Top in Black) with a long gold necklace (I'm loving Amrita Singh's Xilo Necklace in Gold) and an oversized camo parka with fur cuffs (channel the military trend with Kill City's Military Coat in Army Green). Jess carried her trademark oversized tote (try Rough Roses' Francesca Tote with Double Handle in Black) and showed off her legs with sexy over the knee boots (like Rock & Republic's Able Platform Boots in Black). Gold Chanel logo earrings and a messy up 'do complete the look – what are your thoughts? While Jess and Eric enjoyed their meal, they had a nice little surprise halfway through the meal – ex Nick Lachey showed up with longtime love Vanessa Minnillo. Though they didn't talk, Jess confirmed in an interview last week that they did indeed dine at the same restaurant, and it wasn't planned. Awkward! Even with the pain of her past failed relationships, Jess seems to be looking toward the positive with her current beau: "He definitely makes me very happy. He brings out a lot of light in me and makes me very comfortable being who I am. It's nice to be with somebody who praises you for the right reasons." Oooh, is that a little dig at Nick? Either way I'm glad she's moved on!
