Ashley Olsen strolled up to the Letterman studio for her appearance on The Late Show yesterday, October 30, looking polished in an all-black ensemble. Starting with a LBD (check out Beau Soleil's Beau Boat Dress in Noir) and a long black coat (like Holly's Button Knit Coat in Black), Ash finished off her look with long circle earrings (I'm sure Vevina Juji's Dark Chocolate Earrings in Silver are a little more wallet friendly than Ash's) and striking heels. Simple, sophisticated, and chic! Ashley was in NYC to promote her new book with Mary-Kate, "Influence," that I have yet to pick up (it's on my to-do list!). However, at a recent book signing at Barnes & Noble, an exciting day for many fans turned ugly. PETA protesters wore mocking troll masks and shouted at the twins outside of the event, and a spokesperson for PETA says, "People who still wear fur haven't woken up to the fact that a big, dead animal on your back makes you look like a troll. Compassionate fashionistas know that real beauty comes from the heart, something that the Trollsen Twins seem to lack, considering all the animals they've killed for their clothes." Ouch! I am totally reading Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's body language here, and they are totally sending out the we're-stronger-than-ever vibe. Posing at the London debut of their Elizabeth and James line at Selfridges last night, October 7, MK&A look edgy, youthful, and overall: to die for. The girls stuck to a darker color palate, mixing leather with a play on showing some skin (trust me, this is showing skin for them). MK started with a pair of over-the-knee leather boots, and working her way up, wore an oversized blazer (like Signorelli's Logo Blazer in Black) and sheer scarf. Love the new hair, too! Ashley started with black latex leggings and a sexy corset top, paired with a black coat (like Ecoganik's Mia Jacket) and architectural heels. They always turn it out. While the girls are currently building their empire overseas, it seems that there have been reports lately that the girls have upset their New York City neighbors with their loud partying antics. Allegedly, the girls' constant bodyguard and paparazzi presence upsets the neighborhood's residents, as well as the twins partying late into the night. The twins' rep told OK! Magazine "If there were significant issues, you'd think the neighbors would address Mary-Kate or Ashley directly, rather than calling the media." Oh snap!

I haven't seen her hair this blonde (or washed and combed!) in a long time! I love the length and the textured layers- lookin' good, MK! For a similar outfit to her kickaround-town look, make sure to keep one word in mind: layers. The girls are set to launch their own shoe line, also named Elizabeth and James, in collaboration with Steve Madden, Ltd. Ashley says, "Mary-Kate and I found Steve Madden to truly understand our design philosophy and how we want this brand to grow over the coming years. They have the resources and talent to help execute our vision for the Elizabeth and James brand." MK chimed in, saying, "We are excited to partner with Steve Madden to create the new Elizabeth and James footwear line. With their proven experience in all aspects of design, production and distribution, we intend to take the contemporary shoe market to a new level." Since they are working with Steve Madden, the shoes shouldn't be outrageously expensive, but I do have to wonder what the price point will be. Sporting her signature plaid (snag 3J Workshop's San Simeon Shirt in Pink in a large and tie it sloppily around your waist a la Olsen), Mary-Kate wore a floral mini with a black sweater (like Qi's Chiffon Cardigan in Black) and flat black boots as she strolled along. Accessory wise, MK chose oversized rings (Femme Metale's Koi Ring in Sterling Silver is just the right size), an armful of bracelets and a black bag (similar to Rough Roses' Whitney Tote in Black) for her day out. Classic MKO! It seems like almost every star has an ex-bodyguard who eventually ends up talking to the press, and Mary-Kate's former henchman is no exception. The National Enquirer (remember the source here, people) is speaking out about the tiny twin's former partying habits, saying, "MK and friends were all at a party together. Then there were her friends who definitely did drugs. I especially remember three hangers-on, two guys and a girl. I would call them drug dealers. For her 'fit, MKO chose a patterned top (Parameter's Print Top with Beads in Black and White has a similar pattern) with her cutoff denim shorts (the wash is similar in Joe's Jeans' Braided 5 Pocket Short in Berkley) and a black sweater tied around her waist. MK slipped on a pair of silver aviators (like JeeVice Optics' Crybaby II Sunglasses in Silver) as well as a pair of heavy-duty mid-calf leather sandals and matching black leather bag (check out Lesa Wallace Handbags' Ricki Bag in Black) for her day on the town. In other Mary-Kate news, it seems that the tiny twin is in hot water for totally changing the kitchen of one of her homes and never returning it to its original state. The $15,000/month house is located above the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, and the owner of the property claims that MK left the kitchen a "disaster." Since Mary-Kate failed to return the kitchen to it's original state, it seems that the owner decided to pocket her $30k security deposit. Drinks on him!

I just realized that I never got around to posting this sighting of Mary-Kate Olsen arriving at "Letterman" on June 26 in NYC when the now infamous MK vs. Spencer Pratt moment went down! For her late-night talk show appearance, Mary-Kate chose an oversized black frock (similar to Kelly Cushing's Kimono Sleeve Dress in Black, and for a short sleeve, embroidered version, take a look at Gold Hawk's Short Sleeve V-Neck Dress in Onyx Black) with Loubous and a black and gold studded belt (like Rough Roses' Four Row Studded Belt in Black). I'm also loving MK's singular fishtail braid. I smell a trend girls! In related MKO news, it seems that the tiny mogul has been especially buddy-buddy with supermodel Jessica Stam lately, who Mary-Kate sees as a positive influence. A source tells Fox News, "Olsen spent the Fourth of July with Stam in the Hamptons and after happily chowing down at the model’s private barbecue, the girls headed over to another private grill-out at the Estate in Sag Harbor just before midnight." The source then added, "I’ve never seen Mary-Kate in such good spirits, and she didn’t look anything like her old emaciated self. She refused even a drop of alcohol and stuck totally to Snapple antioxidant water."" Good for her! I love Stam, and I love MK, so let's hope this friendship last longer than a New York Minute!

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen seen on Jun 25 2008 in New York, NY. I just couldn't resist quoting that little gem that slithered out of Miranda Priestley's poison tongue in Devil Wears Prada to reference Mary-Kate Olsen's floral summertime frock that she wore on June 25 to the after-party of the debut screening of her new film, The Wackness, in NYC. If you are feeling MK's flirty little number, may I suggest LaROK's Tie Front Halter Dress in Multi, Karina Grimaldi's Zuni Mini Dress in Teal Feathers, or Plenty by Tracy Reese's Soft Strapless Dress in Seaside Floral, which are all perfectly pretty to attend any summer soiree. To promote her new project, MK was on "Letterman" and dished that she went to high school with "Hills" villain Spencer Pratt, although the two were not friends. She told Dave that Spencer "did not have a good temper. He used to play on the soccer team... (and) he walked out of a few games. He would walk off the field." And it looks like Dave is no fan of Spencer's either; throughout the interview, Dave called Spencer both "wormy" and "oily." Ha! At least MK looked adorable, and that really is the most important thing ;).

Ashley Olsen was seen at the Tribeca Cinemas premiere of "Trumbo" in New York on June 16, and strolled down the red carpet like she was just passing through. No posing here! However, Ash did show up with her new actor boyfriend, National Treasure star Justin Bartha. Don't hide your love, Ashley! The tiny Olsen went for a playful-yet-conservative look, starting with a black blazer (check out Signorelli's Logo Blazer in Black) over a grey tank (like LaROK's Chance Tank in Twill). Next up was a pair of cropped black denim (super similar to James Jeans' Alex Skinny Zip Crop Jean in Black) with a cool black belt (Rough Roses' Five Row Studded Belt in Black is a similar choice) and zippered bag (check out Carla Mancini's Medium Top Zip Crossed Stitch Bag in Black). With all of these similar pieces on CoutureCandy, Ashley's 'fit is extremely easy to emulate. While Ashley is usually a pretty private person, going public with her relationship with Justin is a big step for her. A source told Page Six that, at the premiere, Ashley and Justin "huddled close together most of the night." Precious!

Mary-Kate Olsen was snapped strolling through NYC with twin sis Ashley and a bodyguard in tow on June 16, and the girls definitely put their big bulky bodyguard to work; he was seen toting huge pieces of art that the girls just purchased back to their posh NYC home. Mary-Kate's style was (like Jen Aniston's style below) typical MK; she started with an oversized plaid shirt (snag 3J Workshop's San Simeon Shirt in Pink in the highly coveted large size to wear yours like MK) and paired with dark grey skinny denim (check out Denim of Virtue's Patience 5 Pocket Tapered Jean in Dark Grey). Accessory wise, MK flaunted a logolicious Fendi bag, in addition to black gladiator heels and a funky necklace (like Brian Nagourney Jewelry's Lariat Necklace in Black Pearl). While there have been (and always will be) stories lately that the twins are feuding and not seeing eye to eye, new reports claim that MK & A "don't want to see each other." A source close to the girls says, "All meetings for their clothing line, they will not do together. Something happened between them, and they haven't worked it out. It's been going on for a while." While the accuracy of this statement is still being assessed, Mary-Kate has now famously said, "We're just getting there in different ways. Unless you're a twin, you honestly can't know how close twins can be." And I believe her!

Leave it to Ashley to always take a risk! While most fashionistas showed up in jaw-dropping gowns, Ash played it cool in a perfectly tailored tuxedo suit. For a more casual take on the modern pantsuit, check out Walter's Tech Stretch Jacket in Black and Tech Stretch Pant in Black, and pair with a white button down, like 3J Workshop's Rebirth Button Down Shirt in White, with a pretty floral detail. Ashley accessorized with a ruby ring, black clutch and leather stilettos, making her appearance at the awards a truly memorable one. What do you think, does Ashley pull of this look? In other Olsen news, it seems that the twins have sold their massive NYC penthouse, and their neighbors could not be happier to see them go. The property sold for $10.45 million, and a former neighbor of the girls told the press that "the bodyguards in their SUVs are always getting in the way of our alternate-side parking routine. You'd think the president was living here. They certainly keep late hours. I was jogging early one morning and they were piling out of their gas guzzlers in their little club outfits." Hello... it's called being young and rich! What else would you expect from the Olsens?

Mary-Kate Olsen was seen leaving the Aurelia Adrian Institut de Beaute where the tiny twin was pampered with luxurious spa treatments such as a manicure and a facial in LA on May 30, and I'm not really feelin' MK's kimono-style dress. Kimono no-no! However, she is leaving a spa so I guess I'm a little bit more understanding. Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen seen on May 05 2008 in New York, NY. While I realize that there are about a thousand beautiful dresses and outfits that I could post from the "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy" Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 5, I decided that I am just going to highlight the Olsen twins from this event, seeing as though they dazzled in their respective looks. Think of this entry as more of an "inspired by..." entry, instead of duplicating their exact look, because I think that the girls' choices are as inspirational as they are interesting. While both MK&A chose custom made gowns by Diane Von Furstenberg for the event, we can take cues from Ashley's choice of cutouts and MK's choice of iridescent gold. Check out O.Y.E. Swimwear's Cut Out Monokini Bikini in Black, which also comes in Gold if you're feeling more MK-ish instead of Ash-is, and you want to imitate Ashley's peek-a-boo look by the pool this Spring. Mary-Kate Olsen stepped out to the 3rd Annual Chanel Dinner Party Honoring the Tribeca Film Festival Artist Program on April 28 looking pretty demure , for her! I mean think about it, MK usually wears much crazier outfits than this to events (crushed velvet Marc Jacobs headband, anyone?). She started her look with a sheer black top over a black bra, and tucked it into sparkly bubble skirt (check out Parameter's High Waist Mini Skirt in Black or Laura Dahl's Hockney Mini Skirt in Black for similar, not so glittery options). Next up was a classic yet edgy navy blazer, similar to Signorelli's admirably unique Logo Blazer in Black, which has black rhinestones on the back. Accessory wise, MK piled on the rings as usual, and held onto a patent leather Chanel clutch (for a more affordable yet just as daring option, take a look at Julie K Handbags' Fold Over Clutch in Night Exotic). Don't forget the striped tights and essential Balenciaga boots. While MK has been workin' it overtime to promote for her fashion lines, there were rumors spreading that she has been romancing a Mr. Travis London during a recent promotional visit to Hong Kong. A source told E! Online, "They've been doing their best to kept the relationship private, often arriving separate in public and choosing not to be photographed together at events." Maybe the reason why they haven't been photographed together is because this rumor is just... a rumor! MK's publicist responded quickly to this one, saying, "This is not true. Mary-Kate doesn't know a Travis London. He didn't travel with us to Hong Kong (I traveled with Mary-Kate) and there is no truth to this item." There you have it!

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen seen on Apr 03 2008 in Los Angeles, CA. There are few things I love in the world more than an Olsen with luscious, recently shampooed and blow-dried locks! Ashley Olsen was spotted strutting out of the Neil George Salon yesterday, April 3, in Los Angeles, with her long hair blowing in the wind. Beautiful! Ashley started her basic yet stylish outfit out with a loose-fitting grey top (I love the details on Rails' Anika Top in Grey) under a brown leather bomber jacket, and then slipped her tiny gams into a pair of dark wash skinnies (like Deener's Charmer Skinny Jean in Cobalt). Ash accessorized with tortoise shades, suede sandals and a big bottle of Evian (hey, a girl's gotta stay hydrated!). The National Enquirer (I know, I know) is reporting that the girls are getting sick of each other (if I had a dollar for every time I heard this report...) after all these years, due to fights over real estate and business decisions. A source tells the gossip mag, "They just don’t see eye-to-eye anymore and are tired of constantly butting heads. Ashley isn’t an angel, but she’s tired of having to take care of Mary-Kate. One second Mary-Kate is maniacally happy, and the next she’s sobbing. Her mood swings are dragging Mary-Kate down, and finally, Ashley’s decided she doesn’t want to go down with her." Do you buy it? I don't know- I usually take everything the Enquirer prints with a grain of salt...

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen seen on Mar 31 2008 in Australia. I'm not sure if these pics of Ashley Olsen flaunting her bikini bod on a balcony in Australia are new or not, but either way, I thought that my Olsen-aholics out there would appreciate the pics. Does anyone know whether or not these are recent? Ashley was caught puffing away on a cancer stick while relaxing and basking in the sun. Wearing a floral teenie weenie bikini (Tyler Rose Swimwear's Hancock Park Suit is similar, if a little more 80's-esque) with her hair pulled back and round brown shades (like Nour's Kiara Sunglasses in Manner Mania), Ash's bod definitely does a bikini good. Ashley has divulged more information of what goes on inside that tiny noggin of hers, as she has spoken out in a recent interview about her clothing lines and aspirations. Ash says, of starting The Row, "All I wanted was the perfect T-shirt. I just sketched out what I wanted, bought some bad fabric and took it to a couple of manufacturers. But then Maxfield [a Los Angeles boutique] wanted it and Barneys wanted it, and then the T-shirt turned into a couple of tank tops and a couple of dresses and a pair of skinny leggings. All of a sudden it was a collection." I love when projects develop organically like that!

Mary-Kate Olsen (and her newly cut and what appears to be washed locks!) hit up the shindig for Kate Bosworth's new flick, 21, at the Mercer Kitchen in NYC on March 26. Always one to don the controversial outfits, this one is really a love-it or a hate-it look for the books. MK chose a black silk romper for the evening (check out Guy Baxter's ruffled Ella Romper in Black Silk), paired with a hot pink Chanel belt and classic black Loubs. MK also wore that big costume-jewelry-esque green ring that she is always spotted with, semi-similar to Rachel Leigh's beautifully oversized Snake Ring in Green, in addition to multiple sparkly bracelets (like Jewel by Bear's Small Nugget Bracelet in Gold). In other Mary-Kate news, it seems that there are a few rumors swirling right now that MK might be dabbling in some serious flirtation with none other than "Gossip Girl" star Chace Crawford. A source tells In Touch Weekly that MK and Chace were spotted together on March 12 at Lit Lounge in NYC, and that "they were definitely making eyes at each other." Ooh, making eyes... scandalous! I wonder how many of you out there have "made eyes" at someone. What exactly is "making eyes"? A come-hither glance? A wink? Fill me in! Either way, I think we should investigate whether MK was actually in NYC on that date... because if not, this story can totally be debunked.

Ashley Olsen was spotted getting down to business and leaving her office in Los Angeles on March 18, looking pretty conservative (for her). Wearing super skinny jeans (like Deener's Charmer Skinny Jean in Cobalt) with woven flats, Ash topped her look with an oversized v-neck sweater (check out Autumn Cashmere's Relaxed Fit Deep V-Neck Top in Black) and gold shades (similar to JeeVice Optics' Crybaby II Sunglasses in Gold). She also lugged around some sort of blanket-looking grey thing... you know those Olsen's and their layers! It seems that even though Ashley and MK have more money than like 99.9% of the earth, Ashley still is down to earth enough to slum it on her friends couch instead of heading to a posh hotel. While Ash's $1.6 million Hancock Park house is being renovated, she is bunking with her stylist, Estee Stanley, at her home. Slumber party! How many of you would like to have Ashley stay over? Or... would she have to pay you oodles of dough in order to crash with you? Tell, tell!

MKO was spotted grabbing coffee with a male friend in Brentwood on March 18, branching out from her usual Starbucks to what looks like a smaller, independent coffee house (based on the cup). Clad in her fave LV leopard scarf over a long tank (check out Laura Dahl's Penny Tank Dress in Black) and light wash cutoff shorts (try Tag Jeans' Double Belted Short in Light Wash for a more sophisticated look), MK also picked a red velvet jacket and her favorite John Lennon-esque shades for her java fix. Don't forget the jewelry! In true MK fashion, she wore multiple rings (I definitely think Robyn Rhodes' Kimberly Ring in Gold would be Olsen approved), as well as thick gold bracelets (like Rachel Leigh's Snake Bangle in Gold). Parade Magazine recently released their "What People Earn" list for 2007, which is basically just a way to make normal people feel completely inadequate to these teenage bajillionaires. It seems that Disney phenom Miley Cyrus netted $18.2 mill last year, while Mary-Kate took in a "paltry" $17 mill. Wow, I wonder how Mary-Kate is coping with these tiny earnings? Forget Miley and MK, I want to give a shout out to Leona Helmsley's dog Trouble, who made $12 mill last year. HBIC alert! Somebody get me this dog's contact info- I wanna befriend it so that I can get on that will!

Mary-Kate Olsen worked it at The American Museum of National History Winter Dance Sponsored by Roberto Cavalli in NYC on March 11, wearing a fur that has a bit of faux-ness to it, don't you think? For the rest of her "dance" ensemble, MK paired a long, flowy, patterned dress (Tricia Fix's Renta Long Velvet Dress in Sage and ZG by Grimaldi's Betty Chiffon Dress in Rust Peacock are similar) with a gold belt (like Linea Pelle's Metallic Sculpted Belt in Gold). Add on a to-die-for croc clutch, the aforementioned fur and tons and tons of gold bracelets (start with Jessica Elliot's Cut Out Bangle in Gold and Rachel Leigh's Audrey Bow Bangle Set in Gold), and you'll give MK a run for her money. MK has been stirring up a bit of controversy lately, as rumors are spreading that she has been dating a man who is a dead ringer for Heath Ledger. The man in question, Italian playboy Lapo Elkann, was spotted with MK on numerous occasions at Paris Fashion Week. A source says, "Mary-Kate and Lapo seemed very cozy. Lapo's a good-looking guy, and Mary-Kate seemed to love the attention she was getting from him." Hmm, I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that he bears a resemblance to Heath, or if that's just Mary-Kate's type?

MK Olsen was spotted leaving the Fendi party in Paris, France on March 1, looking like she was going for a walk through a fashion jungle with her super-long LV leopard print scarf. For more leopard goodies, check out ZG by Grimaldi's NEw Michael Mini in Violet Gold Leopard, Betsey Johnson's Cropped Cardigan in Blush Leopard and Julie K Handbags' Cosmo Leopard Bag. Mary-Kate also wore a black coat (check out Ecoganik's Mia Jacket in Black). While this look is definitely a whole lot more restrained than the last MK look I posted about (studded metal jacket and orange Wayfies), it does still scream Mary-Kate. While there is not a lot of new MK news to report, I wanted to get this sighting up there for any of you who were doubting whether or not leopard is still chic. I forgot who said this, but I recall this quote that went something like "to wear leopard print, you either have to be ridiculously rich or incredibly poor". Do you agree?

The always edgy Mary-Kate Olsen was spotted strolling the streets of Paris on her way back to her hotel after the Chanel show on February 29, sporting a look that only a select few (MK and Kate Moss being two of them) can pull off. Wearing Givenchy's undoubtedly heavy and unmistakeably chic studded metal jacket (love it or hate it? I think I LOVE it) with neon orange Wayfarer-esque shades on top, MK paired a black mini skirt (like LaROK's Rita Skirt in Black) with black leggings (you can't go wrong with Laura Dahl's Longfellows Leggings in Noir) and her favorite Balenciaga boots. Taking a closer look at MK's jewelry, I have to say I'm diggin' the whole stars-and-moon motif she has going on with her necklace. Jennifer Zeuner Jewelry's Large Crescent Moon Necklace with Diamond is right on track, as well as Rachel Leigh's super-MK-esque Snake Ring in Green. I am constantly putting this question out there but I always love to keep asking it, do you think that MK's unconventional take on fashion pays off (risks often do deserve rewards), or do her outlandish duds make her seem like she has landed from another planet? Mary-Kate Olsen was front row center at the Giambattista Valli fashion show in Paris, France yesterday, February 28, with her similarity #2 to Nicole Richie- the two-tone Chanel shades! Who wears them best? MK did her thing in all black, starting with a tunic-style LBD (check out Gold Hawk's Crew Neck Dress in Onyx Black and Kushcush's Wonder Mini Dress in Midnight), and paired with black tights and platforms. Not one to skimp on jewelry, Olsen mixed and matched silver and gold rings (I'm loving Rachel Leigh's Audrey Bow Ring in Gold and Femme Metale's Koi Ring in Sterling Silver) for a look that is uniquely hers. If you are a big fan of MK&A, it seems that a new peek into their lives will be available to you soon. The twins are working on a coffee table book titled "Influence," in which they will interview a few of the people who influence and inspire them the most. And no, they aren't going to interview the crazy bag lady on the street corner, they are actually going to be speaking with people such as Bob Colacello, Terry Richardson, Jack Pierson and Christian Louboutin. The book will also include "exclusive photographs of Ashley and Mary-Kate from world renowned photographer Rankin, and a wide variety of other never-before-seen materials and interviews from Mary-Kate and Ashley's personal collections." Sounds like a must have!

Tiny twin Mary-Kate Olsen was spotted ducking out of her office in NYC on February 19, rocking similarity #1 to fellow fashionista Nicole Richie of late: her edgy Balenciaga boots that she's been wearing forever! Nic was spotted wearing the same pair in LA on February 23, and this isn't the only love-it-or-hate-it couture piece the two seem to share. I'll reveal that one in an upcoming entry, but can anyone guess what I'm talking about? A hint: it's not Balenciaga. MK stayed warm in the chilly New York weather in (of course) a fur coat over a black tunic (check out Signorelli's V Neck Tunic in Black) and with her staple destroyed skinny jeans (start with James Jeans' Flip Flop Straight Leg Jean in Neo Tulsa, grab a pair of scissors to tear up the knees, and the rest is Olsen history). Accessory wise, Mary-Kate threw on a grey scarf and slipped her petite little fingers into a few statement rings (like Rachel Leigh's Lion Ring in Gold). For your daily dose of ridiculous Olsen news, it seems that a source has told Star Magazine that Hugh Hefner has his sights set on bagging the twins for the magazine. The source says, "Hef thinks the twins are every young man's fantasy." Keep dreaming, Hef! The source goes on to say that "They're all about high-end fashion these days. They want to do Vogue. Besides, the twins aren't getting along right now. Ashley is jealous because Mary-Kate is getting all the acting roles." Oh please! Ashley just said that she is completely passionate about taking charge in the twins' fashion line while MK tackles acting. Good try, though, source!

Ashley Olsen was spotted leaving a party at the Bowery Hotel in NYC on February 7, clearly hoping that the photogs would get up outta her face. Going for a basic (yet still extremely Olsen-ish) ensemble, Ash started her look out with a bright pop of color, her bright blue scarf. Next up was a pair of black leggings (like Laura Dahl's Fancy Dancers Leggins in Noir) under her Balenciaga knee-high boots. On top, Ashley paired a heather grey top (like Woo's Mira Pullover Tunic in Heather Grey) with a black blazer (check out LaROK's Rebecca Cropped Jacket in Black) and slung a black leather bag over her right shoulder. And of course, no Olsen would be complete without her own personal bodyguard. It seems that Ash has been busy promoting her fashion line The Row lately, and popped up at a boutique in Dallas, Texas earlier in the month. Ashley also spoke out to WWD about the newest collection of the line, which boasts 110 looks, up from the previous seasons (now) measly 18. Olsen says, "I don't want to expand too far too fast. I just take it one day at a time. There is endless opportunity, and I want to make the right choices. I don't see why it can't grow further and further." Very true, A! The new collection's pieces range from basic tees to fur outerwear, and will undoubtedly only expand from there. Can't wait to see!

Mary-Kate Olsen was spotted strolling the streets (and actually smiling AND waving to photographers, much to my shock) of Park City, Utah on January 18, as she made the rounds at the Sundance Film Festival. Keeping warm in the chilly, snowy Utah weather, MK started her outfit with, of course, a scarf (like Raw 7's warm Street Scarf in Ivory). Next up is a long, snuggly coat, like Rails' shorter Nia Tapered Jacket in Black, paired with matching black leather gloves. Down below, MK rocked her favorite pair of faded black denim (check out Denim of Virtue's Patience 5 Pocket Tapered Jean in Black) over her shoe du jour, Doc Marten-esque black boots. The finishing touch? Her favorite sunglasses (although we all know the sun isn't shining in Utah) that she has been spotted wearing everywhere lately. While MK is in Utah promoting her film The Wackness with Ben Kingsley, she has been featured on TMZ quite heavily today due to the extremely tragic passing of Heath Ledger. Down below, it seems that Mary-Kate had a switcheroo up her sleeve, as she started the day in her super 1990's inspired Doc Marten-esque boots, and swapped for a pair of killer heels (prob Lobou's) for later on. It really makes no sense to me why PETA hates MK so much, I mean, can anyone even remember the last time she was seen wearing fur? Ok, all kidding aside, I know that there is the ongoing debate of whether wearing fur is wrong, but MK doesn't seem to care what anyone else thinks and just does her own thing. While I'm keeping my opinions on fur out of this, I do applaud MK for daring to go where others won't and staying true to her own sense of style. However, I wonder if MK's hand gesture is telling the paps to STOP, or saying HI to them? In her signature influential style, MK shows what makes her a modern fashion icon. Mary-Kate began her look with a pair of black skinny denim (check out Denim of Virtue's Alice Tunic in Black) and an olive green scarf. MK accessorized her look in oversized gold rings (check out Rachel Leigh's Domed Ring in Gold) and gold and silver chains and bangles (look at Mickey Lynn Designs' Set of 3 Hammered Bracelets in Silver). Sources say, "Ashley's hoping that if she can lose weight, she can compete with her twin. Ashley is living on a diet of coffee, water, salad and sushi, chased by nonstop exercise. Mary-Kate Olsen was spotted back on the streets of New York after being rushed to the emergency room last week for a kidney infection, which rendered her out of commission for a while. It seems that the tiny Olsen is A-OK, however, and was seen in New York on November 28 doing some home shopping, with a soda and her iPod in tow. Wearing a funky outfit with tons of layers consisting of Ksubi jeans (Deener's Smoker Ankle Jean in Tar are similar and just as great), eccentric black boots, an enormous scarf, red Wayfarers, a leather jacket and tons of her favorite thing, costume jewelry. Accessories & Beyond's Assorted Charms Leather Bracelet in Red and Rachel Leigh's Lion Ring in Gold are two pieces that MK would definitely swoon over. In other Olsen news, it seems that the twins have put their 12-room Greenwich Village condo on the market for a whopping $12 million, when they paid only $7.3 mill for it back in 2004! If it sells, they can make a cool $4.7 million without doing a thing. Ah, and the rich get richer.

Are you loving those Balenciaga boots, or are you not so into 'em? Personally, I think they're perfect for MK. It seems that while the Olsen's were in NYC hitting up various events and openings and putting their megabucks condo on the market, they were also putting the finishing touches on their new LA residence. All eyes were on the little Olsen's tootsies, as she rocked out in a pair of neon pink The Victoria Shoe (inspired by Posh Spice herself, Victoria Beckham) with a voluminous party dress (check out Karen Zambos' Velvet Tube Dress in White) and tons of bracelets (Rachel Leigh's Buckle Bangle in Silver would totally be MK approved). In a leather mini-skirt (opt for Joe's Jeans' High Waist Pencil Skirt in Morter, a leather-less alertnative) with a blue hoodie (like Rails' Corado Pucker Hoodie Sweater in Dusty Blue), leopard flats a black shades, Ashley really has stayed loyal to her favorite bag, that black crocodile Fendi number of hers. While both twins have been super wrapped up with their two fashion lines The Row and Elizabeth & James, everyone knows that MK has been busy polishing her acting chops on the set of the hit show "Weeds". Not one to remain on the sidelines, I reported to you previously that Ashley was in talks to star in the film version of Brett Easton Ellis' book "The Informers", and now have a little more info for you regarding Ashley's role. While IMDB.com has Ashley listed in the cast member section of the film, there is no role given to her. Before, all that was known of the part was that Ashley would be playing a "sexually promiscuous girl", a character totally unlike her persona in real life. Winona Ryder, Kim Basinger and Billy Bob Thornton are also attached to the project, so it will interesting to see who will play which characters once the cast list is announced. Being a huge Bret Easton Ellis fan myself, I am excited that this book is finally being turned into a feature film- I just hope they don't butcher it!

Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen showed up to an intimate soiree honoring the launch of their new line, Elizabeth & James, at the Beverly Hills Neiman Marcus on Oct 22, looking as opposite as can be (besides the twintastic hair color). While Ashley dazzled in a vibrant orange frock (like Ella Moss' Natalie Slip Cami Dress in Flame) with a bright blue scarf, MK went back to black in her crocheted black number (similar to Gold Hawk's eyelet version, the Eyelet Empire Dress in Black, which also comes in white). The night was held so that Neiman's super VIPs could get their hands on the first Elizabeth & James pieces, sans any pesky paparazzi (they weren't allowed inside the store). MK & A took a very hands on approach for this event, doing all sorts of odd jobs including styling the party space and clothing the mannequins. Mary-Kate spoke out about how excited she was for the night, saying, "When I first walked in, I was in shock that there were so many people here already. Wearing a caramel-colored leather jacket from her own line, The Row, with a loose grey cardigan (like IISLI's Breaker Cardigan) over a white top (similar to Laura Dahl's York Top in Winter White), a Louis Vuitton leopard print scarf, dark vintage skinny jeans (Citizens of Humanity's Avedon Stove Pipe Pant in Sao Paolo, Christian Louboutin booties and with her requisite Venti Starbucks drink in hand, Ash does the effortlessly stylish look right. Lately, it has not been uncommon for Ash to wear a pair (or two) of killer Louboutin heels a day... on the contrary, it's actually rare for her not to rock them. The reason why she might be up to her elbows in these super-pricey shoes is that she is friends with Mr. Louboutin himself! Later that night, Ash was spotted in the same outfit giggling and posing with Christian at a party in his honor at S Bar in Hollywood, along with fellow fashionistas Rachel Bilson and Hayden Panettiere. Speaking out about her favorite designer, Ashley said, "What I love about Christian is he knows how to take it to the next level with color or studs or whatever. He knows how to push the envelope, but he does it in the right way." As an up-and-coming designer herself, Ashley knows quite a bit about pushing the envelope, as her and twin sis Mary-Kate are often noted for their fashion forward risk-taking. Kinglsey recently gushed in an interview that Mary-Kate is "is a genius. She’s great company and a very good actor indeed." This is quite the compliment coming from such a seasoned actor as such as him. MK took a break from all of her hard work this weekend and hit up Hollywood hotspot Teddy's with buds Lauren Conrad and DJ Samantha Ronson for a night out, followed by a long day of shopping. Seen sporting wintry looks, it seems the twins at least agreed on wearing the same Ray-Ban Wayfarers! Clad in a warm-looking jacket (like LaROK's Jetsetter Max Parka in Black) with skinny black jeans (similar to Joes Jeans' Sam 5 Pocket Skinny Leg in Black), a woven black bag (reminiscent of Antoinette Lee Designs' Besa Stitch Hobo Bag in Black) and super-spiked Christian Louboutin boots (yikes- wouldn't want to be kicked by those!), Ashley looked set to hit the shows, while MK decided to wear a fur-lined jacket with latex pants (how comfortable for a 13 hour flight), black wedges and round black leather bag (similar to Aaneta's The Rock Large Bag in Black). It makes me happy to see Ash and MK attending Paris Fashion Week, because honestly, what front row would be complete without them? While we know that the girls have been taking the development of their two fashion lines, The Row and Elizabeth and James, very seriously, it also seems that MK is taking her role as a devout Christian on the show "Weeds" very seriously too! A source told the New York Daily News that, while at New York's Beatrice Inn with sister Ashley last week, "Mary-Kate grabbed a male admirer and cried, 'Christ saves all! I save all!' Then she ruffled his hair, gave him a kiss on the cheek and told him, 'Consider yourself saved!'. He looked totally stunned and stumbled off." Oh, MK, never one to disappoint in the erratic behavior department.

Wearing a skinny pair of faded jeans (like Citizens of Humanity's Avedon Stove Pipe Pant in Sao Paulo) with a loose-fitting black top (similar to Zoa's 3/4 Sleeve Shirred Neck Top in Black), a colorful scarf, a black leather bag (reminiscent of Carla Mancini's Medium Top Zip Crossed Stiched Bag in Black) and some killer heels, MK made sure not to forget her favorite red Wayfarers before she faced the crowd of photogs. While it's not unusual to see Mary-Kate covered up under numerous layers of oh-so-chic clothing, it is something of a rarity to see MK in anything revealing, and she wants to keep it that way. Mary-Kate was quoted as saying that she "would love to be able to swim in the ocean in Malibu. But that is asking for a bikini shot. That's inviting something that I don't want to happen. Like MK before her, it seems that Ashley has finally decided to focus more on her acting and is no longer enrolled at NYU. Back in 2005, MK left NYU for "personal reasons", telling New York Magazine that " "she didn't feel safe and was freaked out by the kids who were selling anecdotes to tabloids." I guess Ashley echoed MK's sentiment, and now it's sayonara NYU! Since I just can't get enough of these two, here's Mary-Kate Olsen attending the Prada Epicenter Party at New York's Fashion Week on September 7, opting to go for a walk on the wild side while her sister remained a little more conservative (see below!). Wearing skin tight black latex pants (to tame MK's look a little, go for black jeans, like James Jeans' 5 Pocket Skinny Leg Jean in Black Twill or Hudson Jeans' legging-esque Skinny Leg Knit Pants in Black) with a drapey black top (like Zoa's 3/4 Sleeve Shirred Neck Top in Black), leather stilettos and her new favorite shade of nailpolish- neon pink. MK is the new covergirl of October's issue of Harper's Bazaar, and tells the mag that one of her favorite things to do is "to run around my house naked with heels all the time. It's so funny. All my friends will tell you I love running around in kimonos and jewelry or naked with jewelry." That crazy Mary-Kate! About her sometimes too fashion-forward style, MK says that she "dresses the way I feel instead of looking for what's the new handbag," and that's why I give her so much credit. First, MK got bopped on the head traipsing into Les Deux, and now rumor has it that MK had one wild and crazy night recently at hotspot Teddy's. While she always seems so demure and dainty in public, apparently MK just can't wait to cut loose and tear it up when she goes out at night. Eyewitnesses told X17online.com that "Mary-Kate was wearing a see-through green dress. She was completely wasted; she was humping and grinding against a column with another girl. Then she was flailing all over the dance floor. Later, she made out with various questionable men while friends took pictures. She then fell over onto a table and proceeded to break every glass on the table before toppling over onto everyone sitting behind her. It was shocking." First of all… crashing into a table full of glasses? Ouch! I'm shocked that didn't send the teeny twin straight to the ER. While I'm sure we've all had those nights that we'd like to forget (and probably can't even remember!), I just hope MK's not heading down the dangerous partying road of Lohan! And no, I don't mean that the risks are getting swept up into going out every night or experimenting with dangerous drugs.. the biggest risks are getting bopped on the head with a paparazzi camera! This is allegedly what happen with tiny starlet Mary-Kate Olsen at hotspot Les Deux on August 24- as little MK was entering the club, a huge paparazzi camera hit her in the head, causing her to fall to the ground and drop her bag and other personal belongings. Almost immediately, her posse helped her up and into the club, where she was obviously tended to by various members of her entourage. Where's Ashley when you need her? Later, when seen emerging from the club, MK was wearing a mad hatter-like tophat to cover any potential bruising action that might have resulted from the blunder. Hey, MK- I know you don't need to get any richer, but all I have to say is SUE THE PAPARAZZO! The whole traumatic experience must have not fazed Mary-Kate too much, as she was seen out in West Hollywood the following day with a big old smile on her face. Wearing a grey top with white Wayfarers, a metallic gold bag (Julie K's Ella Bag in Gold is similar, and for a nearly identical bag in silver, check out Julie's Meg Bag in Silver Python), ankle-length skinny jeans (like Hudson's Vixen Highrise Ankle Jean in Virtue) and a brown leather belt (take a look at Pellemelle's Pilgrim Belt in Chestnut), this is the least wild-and-crazy we've seen MK looking in quite a while! Where are the giant wraps and witch shoes?

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen seen on Aug 15 2007 in Los Angeles, Ca. Ashley Olsen was seen burning up the good old credit card at Neiman Marcus in LA on August 15, looking a little less than pleased to see the waiting paparazzi (see photo). Wearing her typical ensemble, which consists of a mini skirt (like Johnson's Opal Mini Skirt in Grey) with a loose-fitting black top (for a similar look, check out Catherine Malandrino's Embroidered Capri Top in Noir or IISLI's Long Top in Black), grey striped scarf, patent leather heels and black aviators, Ashley is rockin' the monochromatic look as usual. Being the cover girl for the current issue of Marie Claire is no easy task (or maybe it is, I mean, I've never been the cover girl for Marie Claire!) and editor-in-chief Joanna Coles is speaking out about her opinions on this Olsen. She says that Ashley is extremely detail oriented, and that, regarding her new clothing line "Elizebeth and James", she's "taken very seriously as a boss. Someone comes up and shows her the label for Elizabeth and James and she’s like, ‘No, it’s too big. Take it down by a third.’” What an eye! Ashley then goes on to tell the mag "I live a very normal life — I have friends; I’ve always gone to school. The part that’s not normal is that I’ve been working since I was 9 months old, but at the same time, it’s completely normal to me." But then again, normalcy is all relative!

As Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen made their way through LAX on August 9, Ashley braved the paparazzi by only slightly covering her face with her hand; Mary-Kate, on the other hand, covered her face with a hat and was guided along by one of her big burly bodyguards. What a sight this must have been! Wearing super duper skinny jeans (like Yanuk's Visionary Skinny Jean in Raw or Freedom of Choice's Lollapalooza "Victory" Skinny Jean in Dark Halo) with a blue jacket, those Balenciaga "witch boots" she loves so much and a gigantic patent leather bag (check out Moe Bags' Camy Patent Lamb Bag in Janna for a smaller yet similar version of Ash's bag), Ashley definitely has room for a yearlong trip in that huge bag! The new issue of Marie Claire is reporting that MK and Ash share a telepathic bond that is due to the fact that they are twins, as Ashley told the mag that their "bond is really beyond words. I know when she's hurting, I know when she's going through something. I know when she's happy- whether I'm with her or not, I know." Spooky! Ashley went on to say that the girls "both carry the weight of each other," and by the looks of things, Ashley might just be carrying the weight of MK in that huge bag!

Ashley Olsen left her production office in Los Angeles on August 2 looking serious and business-oriented as is the norm lately, seeming as though she just accomplished an important task. Wearing a black tee (like Woo's Nikki Tee in Black) under an ultra-large belt (try Elegantly Waisted's Ruffle Belt or Linea Pelle's Braided Sash Belt for a similar look) with super skinny black jeans (similar to 7 for All Mankind's Lucy Jean in Black), Ash made sure not to leave the house without her 5 inch Christian Louboutins. I shudder when thinking of her podiatrist bill in about 20 years- ouch! Ash is featured on the cover of September's Marie Claire without twin sis Mary-Kate, and now that MK is going to be featured on this season of Showtime's "Weeds", the twins are doing more and more things on their own. In fact, Ashley recently gave a piece of advice to her and MK's prodigies, Cole and Dylan Sprouse: "The more the public can view you separately... the easier it will be for your future." Talk about words of wisdom only another twin can give!

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen seen on Jul 31 2007 in West Hollywood, Ca. With all the hard work they've been doing, SuperTwins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen decided they needed to do the one thing that makes them happier than anything else—go to Maxfield! For those of you not in-the-know, Maxfield is the twins' favorite store, one of the most exclusive in Los Angeles. Everytime they drop in, the drop thousands of dollars on the hottest designer fashions. While MK opted for a gigantic oversized sweater and her fave pair of Loubous, Ashley's style was a little more classic in cropped black jeans (like Hudson Jeans' Vixen Ankle Jean in Virtue) with a white tee (check out Rails' Agente T in White), a black scarf and patent leather gladiator inspired heels. So chic. Now we all know that the Olsens have conquered the business world, and now it seems that they are also conquering the good-deed world as well! The Olsens have started to endorse Help1Up, an organization which takes used furniture that is no longer needed and donates it to a family in need. Mary-Kate says that "“Ashley and I are happy to endorse Help1Up. There’s no reason why usable furniture should be thrown away when it can instead provide a family in need with basic comfort and dignity.” I love these girls more and more every day!

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen seen on Jul 30 2007 in Los Angeles, Ca. Mary-Kate Olsen left the Brent-Air pharmacy and headed to her agent's office on July 30 holding a book and a long brown paper bag, looking like she just took care of business. And that's exactly what MK has been doing a lot of lately- business. Mary-Kate has been photographed in between filming scenes of her show "Weeds" and now stopping off at her agent's office, it's nice to see a young "it" girl who knows how to balance business and pleasure! Wearing a baggy red sweatshirt with a long black tank (like LaROK's Soda Pop Top), charcoal grey skinny jeans (try True Religion's Stella Big T Jean in Dark Grey), ankle boots and the still lingering Alexander McQueen skull scarf, it's nice to see MK throwing some color in the mix. First Jennifer Aniston now Mary-Kate, these girls have gotten over going "Back to Black" and are now bringing some vibrant colors back into their lives for summer! While Ashley hasn't been photographed as much lately as MK has, it seems that Ash is focusing more on the twins' fashion lines while Mary-Kate has been dipping her toes in the acting pond once again. Keep up the good work girls, and remember- stay out of rehab!

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen seen on Jul 21 2007 in Los Angeles, Ca. Mary-Kate Olsen came out on July 21 to the Home Depot Center to lend her support to LA's newest soccer transplant slash superstar, David Beckham (along with his wife Posh, Katie Holmes, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Eva Longoria and Arnold Schwarzenegger). Upon entering the stadium, Mary-Kate did something we haven’t seen her do in a long time- smile and wave to the paparazzi! I'm thinking that this has a lot to do with the fact that she was attending an event, instead of just being stalked by the photogs while living her normal life. Wearing super skinny black jeans (like James Jeans' 5 Pocket Skinny Leg Jeans) with a vintage rock tee, a tan cardigan (ParkVogel's Cashmere Ribbed Cardigan is just like MK's) and of course a pair of Christian Louboutins, Mary-Kate's style was casual and of course true to herself. I mentioned that MK has been doing a ton of interviews relating to her upcoming stint on the show "Weeds", but one thing she apparently is not willing to discuss in these interviews is the always touchy topic of her weight. When an interviewer did decide to ask her about this, however, she allegedly rushed out of the interview room with her handlers and ended the interview just like that. Note to self: never ask MK about her weight!

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen seen on Jul 17 2007 in Los Angeles, Ca. Mary-Kate Olsen looked chic and uniquely stylish as ever as she headed into her office in Los Angeles on July 17. Wearing a tight black dress (similar to Zoa's Double V-Neck Pleasing Dress) with a pair of Christian Louboutins and her fave Prada fringe bag, MK accented her outfit with a pair of firetruck red Wayfarer-inspired shades. It seems like it's been all work and no play for MK lately, as she is gearing up for the big premiere of her part on "Weeds". Mary-Kate has said how lucky she feels that she was able to mesh so well with the rest of the cast, and how this is a milestone for her because it's the first project that she has been a part of without her twin sister Ashley, and also, to quote MK, the first project she's worked on of any "depth". Also knowing that she is famous for being quite the fashion trendsetter, MK says, of her own style mantra, that it "really depends on my mood. I'll go through a phase where I only wear black, or a shirt and no pants, oh god." And somehow, I think only MK is able to pull that look off.

Mary-Kate Olsen attended the Showtime Summer and Fall 2007 TCA's on July 14 to promote her role on the upcoming season of Showtime's hit show "Weeds", which marks MK's return to acting twelve years after finishing her eight year run on "Full House". Finally bringing some color back into her wardrobe, Mary-Kate slipped on a long-sleeve blue silk dress (check out Woo's Gina Dress in Light Plum for a more casual dress with a similar cut to MK's- it also comes in Ruby Red and Fiji Blue) with a big snakeskin belt and patent leather peeptoes, but it was her neon orange nails that really caught my eye. Do I smell a hot new nailpolish shade? That same night, MK sat down with "Entertainment Tonight" for an interview in which she talked about the upcoming season of the show. She said that she was "so happy to be invited on the show. It's such a smart show, and everyone's so talented. I really just jumped right in." When asked about what her twin sister Ashley said when she heard that Mary-Kate got the role, MK said that Ashley "hadn't seen the show before I got the part, so when I told her I got a part on 'Weeds,' she said, 'What's that?'"she laughs. "Now she loves the show and she's really happy for me." After seeing Mary-Kate constantly being photographed while living her busy shopping and getting coffee life, I'll be interested to see her return to acting. I think she's gonna rock it!

As Mary-Kate Olsen grabbed some coffee and showed some major leg on July 9, twin sis Ashley waited patiently in Mary-Kate's Porsche Cayenne, checking out her lipstick in the rear-view mirror. MK slowly strutted her stuff back to her car, wearing what looks like an oversized men's dress shirt with her fringe-tastic Prada bag and those mega-size Balenciaga shoes which she seems to have brought out of retirement. To get Mary-Kate's look, grab Walter's Jacquard Swirl Shirt Dress (which is a little more appropriate to wear walking down the street) and wear it over a little pair of black shorts, like Johnson's Silk Shorts with Cuff. The rest of the accessorizing is up to you, my friend. One warning though- very few can pull off what MK can! I think it's all in her attitude though; she wears whatever she wants, stays true to her own unique style and doesn't seem to care what anyone else thinks- I totally admire that about her. Someone else that undoubtedly admires that about her too is her BF Max Snow, who donned her with a few quite impressive presents for her recent 21st birthday. Max must have shelled out the big bucks for a vintage Hermes Kelly bag (new ones are hard enough to come by!), in addition to a diamond promise ring that he gave her, which is a Snow family heirloom. The intent of the ring is obviously to symbolize the intent to get married, and a source has told In Touch Weekly recently that "Mary-Kate and Max are very serious. They’re practically living together and will probably get engaged before the end of the year… she loves him so much." Someone who might not be so keen to this notion is Ashley, as I have mentioned before how Ash doesn't seem to like the person Mary-Kate becomes when she's around Max. I'm just hoping that Mary-Kate is not forced to choose between her sister and Max, because obviously Ashley will win. She's blood!

It’s obvious that Ashley Olsen was a little (make that a lot) more camera shy last night, June 26, than twin sis Mary-Kate, as the duo left Il Sole in Beverly Hills. MK, clad in a long sleeve black minidress (LaROK’s Bikini Tunic and Vanitas’ Eyelet Sheath Dress are similar) with mega-tall Chanel gladiator sandals, didn’t bother trying to hide her face as she left the eatery, but for Ashley, it was another story. Wearing skinny white jeans and a baby blue button up (like For Love and Liberty’s Angel Wings Blouse) with her fave Fendi bag, Ashley did everything she could to hide from the paps. TMZ is reporting that as Mary-Kate hopped behind the wheel of their waiting SUV, Ashley “absurdly kept her head buried between her knees as photogs tried to snap a few photos.” Come on girls, you know they’re going to get a picture anyways, why don’t you make sure it’s a good one? In case you didn’t know, the twins turned the big 2-1 earlier in the month, but did they plan a mega party in Vegas sponsored by a vodka company à la Lohan? Nope. They had a quiet dinner at Chateau Marmont with close friends and family. Love it.

Ashley Olsen attended the launch of the Sprouse brothers' clothing line (they're the twins from Big Daddy who are represented by MK & A's company Dualstar) on June 9 looking fresh and classic in a pair of black skinny jeans (like James Jeans' Sam 5 Pocket Skinny Leg Jean) that were obviously hemmed to fit her petite frame with a provocatively unbuttoned blue button-up (Cake Couture's Mexico Button Up is a similar, embroidered piece), her gold Rolex and those favorite Balenciaga shoes of hers. Ashley has been focusing on her and Mary Kate's company and two fashion lines while MK has been filming episodes for "Weeds", but allegedly this is not what's bothering her, it's Mary Kate's boyfriend, Max Snow! Friends of the girls said recently that "Ashley never liked him from the get go, and now, as time has gone on, she thinks that he's a bad influence on Mary-Kate. It worries Ashley that Mary-Kate is so passive around him, and lets him do the decision making." Not good! The source goes on to say that "Ashley witnessed it for herself when Mary-Kate forgot to pick up something he wanted at the store. Max was screaming at the top of his lungs things that were awful and insulting. Mary-Kate was teary-eyed and upset, but told Ashley 'He does that a lot --it blows over." Sounds like Ashley is only looking out for MK's best interests, let's hope this man doesn't cause a divide between Hollywood's favorite twins!

While everyone is wrapped up in all of the Paris Hilton's back-in-jail drama today (it's getting pretty crazy), it is city important to remember that there are other celebrities who need our attention too! On that note, Mary Kate Olsen was seen in New York on June 5, chatting away on her cell while taking a stroll through the streets. Wearing black skinny jeans, everyone's favorite American Apparel heather grey deep v-neck tee and a pair of black Loubous, Mary Kate looked casual (despite the fact that she is wearing stilettos) the least troll-like we've seen her in a while! It seems that Mary Kate has began filming her episodes of the Showtime series "Weeds", yet is spending considerably more time in the makeup chair than she is actually filming! Allegedy, MK's cigarette and coffee addiction has made her seem older than her actual years (she's only 21), and TMZ is saying that "several crew members were overheard commenting on how surprisingly old [Mary-Kate] looks in person. Her time in the make up chair is used to cover up her dark circles and other assorted blemishes." Well, she is only human!

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen seen on Jun 04 2007 in New York, NY. That's a whole lot of names, isn't it? Elizabeth and James are two names you might not be used to hearing when it comes to the Olsens, but these two are set to be just as synonymous with the Olsen name as Mary Kate and Ashley are. MK&A were seen at the The 25th Anniversary of the Annual CFDA Fashion Awards looking hot (I have to say) and very chic. They played on the whole matching black-and-white look they've been banking on lately, and while I'm used to seeing MK wearing all black, white definitely looks great on her also. MK shined in a floor-length white silk dress (Gold Hawk's Leaf Midlength Dress is a shorter, similar white silk dress), while Ashley dazzled in a tuxedo-inspired floor length dress and accessorized with a large silver cuff. Besides the fact that the girls are a constant fixture in the fashion world, they also recently debuted their newest clothing collection, titled Elizabeth and James (named after their younger sister and older brother). This new line will consist of chic and affordable sportswear, and to boost the line's credibility, the twins teamed up with Peter Koral and Jane Siskin, creators of 7 for All Mankind and LaROK. MK&A are excited about this new line, as Ashley said that it is a "clash between masculinity and femininity." Mary Kate went on to say that "we're always going to stay true to ourselves and what we believe is chic and flattering and fashionable. That's something that we really look at in the line." I, for one, can't wait to check it out!

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen seen on May 19 2007 in Los Angeles, Ca. Goodbye "Full House", goodbye New York Minute… hello "Weeds"! It seems that super-twin Mary Kate Olsen has been itching to return to acting ever since getting her fashion line, The Row, up and running, and it seems she has finally returned. It has been reported that MK will be joining the cast of the edgy Showtime series "Weeds", appearing in 10 of the upcoming series' 15 episodes. Mary Kate's will be playing Tara, a devout Christian girl living in a "megachurch" community who will be the love interest of the character of Silas. Talk about a stretch! I've gotta give MK some credit where credit's due; she's playing a character totally unlike herself to stretch her acting abilities, unlike some of today's it-girls (um, hello Lindsay basically playing herself in Georgia Rule… she plays a sensual, rebellious young woman). MK hasn't been on a television series since acting on "So Little Time" back in 2002 with twin sis Ashley, but as of yet hasn't had a chance to play a character besides family-friendly, "PG" characters. Series creator Jenji Kohan says that ""Weeds" isn't your 8 o'clock family fare. It's an adult show with adult subject matter, and we're confident Mary-Kate is right for the role. She came in and read with Hunter and was absolutely charming and real and seemed like a great fit. Audiences have seen only one side of Mary-Kate, but here we'll see her in a whole new light." I, for one, am excited to see whether or not Jenji is right! MK was spotted wandering around LA on May 19, looking casual in a blue hoodie with faded grey jeans (like these True Religions) and a gold cuff. Let's just hope she doesn't break her ankle in those shoes!

Mary Kate Olsen must be getting pretty excited about her upcoming role on the show “Weeds”, because her public sightings are going through the roof lately! Seen running errands with her boo, Max Snow, on May 19, she also appeared to be going on a walk not with her dog, but with her bag! Wearing a black tank under a fur vest (wasn’t she hot in LA??) with dark grey skinnies (True Religion’s Stella Big T’s are similar) with those monster Balenciaga shoes and a gold cuff, what really stole spotlight was MK’s favorite bag du jour, a fringy beast that looks like it should be on a leash! Leave it to Mary Kate to take a fashion risk, but then again, that’s why people either love her style… or love to hate it! It’s been a while since we’ve actually seen MK out and about with twin sis Ashley, I would love to see photographs of an Urth Caffe run like the old days!

Ashley Olsen made a stop at the Starbucks in Malibu on May 12 to pick up her usual supersize drink, looking pretty true to form as she stuck to the black-and-white look she's been so fond of lately. Wearing a casual white button-down (like For Love and Liberty's Love Angels Blouse) over a basic black cami with skinny trousers (IISLI's Legging Trousers are similar), I have to say Ashley is fast becoming the queen of basic, simple looks. Rumors have been swirling this past week regarding whether or not the Olsen twins would be the first ever twin Bond girls, starring in an upcoming 007 film, to begin filming in 2008. It was reported that one of the producers is very impressed with the girls, and wants them to play good girls in the flick. This rumor has been officially denied, however, with the Olsen's rep, Nicole Caruso, saying that there's no truth to this story. One thing that could have given away the falsity of this article is the fact that whoever wrote it said that the girls were 18, when in fact they both turn 21 this year. Check your facts, false story writer!

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen seen on May 07 2007 in New York, NY. Ashley Olsen left a New York club on May 7 not looking too excited with life, but I think it may just be the result of having a little bit too much to drink! Clad in a skin-tight black mini with black tights, a white button-down under twin sis Mary Kate's favorite black belt (this Elegantly Waisted belt is a similar look) and big blue scarf, Ash showed off more of the look she's been favoring lately. Ashley did the black-and-white-look once again at the Costume Gala in New York City, but this time around had a very sought-after date on her arm: super chic shoe designer Christian Louboutin! Ashley asked him to be her date for the evening, and he gladly obliged. Having Mr. Louboutin on her arm, Ash gained a ton of fashion points that night… in addition to allegedly having lunch dates together and undoubtedly scoring tons of free pairs of shoes! I'm sure tons of girls are jealous of this arrangement the world over.

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen seen on Apr 30 2007 in Los Angeles, Ca. Ashley Olsen was seen leaving Maxfield after doing some shopping on April 30, wearing her usual uniform: a black leather jacket, long destroyed tee, black leggings in lieu of pants and a pair of shoes from her outrageous shoe collection. One thing that was noticeable, however, was that she was not carrying her favorite Fendi bag! Instead, she opted for a more basic slouchy black bag, like this Alice Bag by Julie K Handbags. If you want to emulate this look, make sure you don't forget the venti Starbucks, which is always an Olsen necessity. Now we all know that MK&A have been working hard on their super pricey fashion line, The Row, and now their first look-book has appeared online (click here to view). Consisting of pretty basic pieces (with a few exceptions, like the cool jackets) along with a few more risqué items (hello, completely see-through tee!), I'd say they're off to a good start. Just incorporate more of your unique taste and don't play it safe, girls.. that's what has made you fashion visionaries!

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen seen on Apr 17 2007 in Los Angeles, Ca. Ok, Ashley's not really walking down the row (especially not skid row!). She's actually walking down a Los Angeles street on April 17, wearing her usual clothing selections (black mini, long white tank, black coat, scarf and her trusty Fendi bag) and of course carrying her venti Starbucks. This little Olsen has been hard at work, however; her life isn't just one big Starbucks-fueled shopping trip. While some of Ash and Mary Kate's line, The Row, has been released, there is still much to do. That’s why Ashley has been a busy busy bee, with meetings at the Beverly Hills Hotel and constantly designing new ideas. While I personally think that the Olsen's style is unique and cool, I don't know if it's worth it to spend around $200 for one of The Row's basic cotton tees. I'm all about the Hanes v-neck 3 pack!

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen seen on Apr 14 2007 in Los Angeles, Ca. MK and Ashley Olsen headed to their offices on April 14, doing their now routine "all black and white" thing (save for MK's blue scarf, which adds a muted splash of color). Mary Kate was rocking a superlong black dress with a high waisted belt and round black shades, while twin sis Ashley did her thing in her Wayfarers and a white tank, mini skirt, Jill Sander flats and leather jacket. And while the girls are all too familiar with their pictures being snapped by watchful paparazzi, I guess they aren't used to having (or at least thinking they are having) photos shot by everyday people! At an Iggy Pop show that MK attended recently, concert-goer Jacquie Tellalian was seated right behind the tiny twin, and when she tried taking a picture of the famous rocker, MK's bodyguard blocked her shot because he thought she was trying to photograph Mary Kate! Tellalian later said, "Like what am I going to sell it for, $1.98?" Ouch! I guess a certain girl named Jacquie is not an Olsen fan!

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen seen on Apr 12 2007 in Los Angeles, Ca. Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen both hit up Maxfield on April 12, sticking to the black-and-white look they've been very fond of lately. What was quite shocking, however, was the fact that Ashley was actually SMILING for the paparazzi, instead of hiding behind her giant Fendi bag! While I would love to see these twin titans wear some burst of color (this season's hot neon color trends, like an electric blue, would look great on MK), I think they pull off the all-black look to a tee. Mary Kate just always has that "I-don't-give-a-F" attitude about her, which is so hot. Ashley always seems a little bit more reserved, letting MK run wild with her crazy fashion styles (read: ripped leggings and gold chain belt). This may be the reason why MK & A don't want to be role models, although it is well known that many girls look to them as their style inspirations. MK told the Sun-Herald that "my sister and I don't look at ourselves as role models - I think that's a huge responsibility." Very mature.

Was she heading to a business meeting with twin sis MK, and being a kind and considerate twin by bringing her a beverage, or was she just ensuring that she doesn't fall prey to that "dehydration" phenomenon that is sweeping all of Hollywood's It Girls lately? Either way, Ashley's look is working for her, although that bag is nearly half as big as she is. The girls were caught in NYC last week at a photoshoot, probably for their new fashion line The Row, sitting next to a window and gabbing away. Let's hope that their conversation involved talks of being more creative with their line, or at least lowering the prices a little!

As Mary Kate Olsen stepped out in the fashionable Meatpacking District of New York on April 5, rocking those tried and true mega-heels which made her diminutive legs look stilt-like in a pair of super skinny zipper jeans, with a button-down front jacket, big black shades, her Rolex and a fedora-style hat. Not sure if many of you know this, but MK had a cameo in Sienna Miller's film Factory Girl, in which she played a stylish party guest. Unfortunately for MK, her scene ended up being scrapped from the final version of the film. But some good did come from her cameo, Mary Kate has become fascinated with Andy Warhol paintings of the era. Sources say that she "was very disappointed to find she'd been cut from the movie, but she loves [Andy Warhol's] paintings now and has already bought several originals. She has been telling her friends, 'They cost way more than what I earned for the film!'" Let's be real, I'm sure she doesn't have to worry about what they cost!

Did blonde mega-twin Mary Kate Olsen step out in LA on March 27 for a professional meeting with her agent, or just to run more of her usual errands of getting Starbucks and shopping at Maxfield? I am leaning toward the former, due to her chic and classy outfit. But wait, can this really be you, MK? Where are the torn leggings, the over-the-top furs, the sky-high Christian Louboutins? It seems that MK has decided to ditch this look, for now, and opted for a dressier style du jour. Wearing wide-leg slacks (take a look at our pinstripe pants for a similar look) with a black belt, slouchy black bag and casual striped button-up, MK looked hot and polished. Speaking of looking amazing, this is what the Olsen's are hoping their demographic will feel in their new clothing line, The Row (take a look at what The Row has to offer here.) I'm sorry, but anyone who is willing to spend that much money on a basic tee is crazy!

Paging Dr. 90210! It has recently come to light that Ashley and MK both want Dr. Raj Kanodia (who gave much sought-after new sniffers to Ashlee Simpson, Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Aniston) perform twin surgeries on them as well. True fact, or plain old rumor? Apparently, a friend of Ashley's has said that "Ashley has always thought her nose was a little too big, so she wanted to get it done. When she talked to her sister about it, she loved the idea. They both love changing their looks." What are the girls talking about, their noses are perfect!

Seems as though Mary Kate Olsen has tired of her shockingly platinum hair, as she headed to Neil George and opted for a more subdued, honey shade of blonde. Making one last sighting before ditching the blindingly blonde shade (which I have actually grown to like), MK hit up the grocery store with twin sis Ash on March 19 to pick up some goodies. Ooh, what I would have given to see what's in their cart! Wearing black skinny jeans (maybe take some scissors to the bottom for MK's raggedy look?) with a blue tee, leather jacket and neon red pumps (love it), MK certainly put on quite the fashion show picking up some snacks! It's good to see that she went a little more natural, however, with her hairstyle (and hit up the tanning salon too, it seems), my only question is, with her rigorous dying schedule, how much more can her little locks take? I say she and Lindsay have a competition to see who can dye their hair more in the next 6 months!

Ashley Olsen did some shopping in Beverly Hills on March 12, and stopped off at a flower store and picked up a huge bouquet of flowers. From there, she headed to a candy store and then to a liquor store to pick up some, ahem, treats. Wearing cuffed charcoal skinny jeans with a belt and gauzy white blouse, buttoned down low to reveal a lacy bra. How cute, Ashley is finally on her way to womanhood! While Ash was off running her errands, twin sis Mary Kate has been forever (or at least until someone eats it) eternalized on a cookie by animation student Michael Mouris, who turns photos of celebrities into cookies in his spare time. Talk about a whole lot of spare time! Mouris says that his cookie creations are not to be eaten, but are in fact works of art. "They actually last a long time. I have one I created five years ago and it's a bit faded, but otherwise it looks fine." I'd hate to see rats get into his cookie gallery, they'd have a field day with MK!

Maybe the fact that she's a twin makes Ashley Olsen feel like she needs to get two of everything, including two large coffees when she paid a visit to a Starbucks on March 11. Looking much cuter than we've seen her in a while (I mean, there's so huge furs or scary sky-high shoes!), Ash stepped out in a pair of jean shorts with a black belt, black top, Ray Ban aviators and her favorite Prada turban. But what catches my eye is that blingin' watch of hers! Man, that thing is catching some serious rays. I like this look for her, it's basic, but she's still exhibiting some of that unique style of hers. Plus, those beat up Vans slip-ons make her actually look like a 20 year-old, and not a 50-year old!

After getting her hair did at the same salon Lindsay was just re-blonded at, Ashley Olsen strolled to her car that was waiting to whisk her away. Wearing a pretty familiar outfit by now, that consisted of a pair of black leggings, round shades and a holey burnout tee under a heather grey tee, what would her look be without a pair of crazy uncomfortable looking shoes and a big furry fur? A creature of habit that Ashley is. I don't really notice much difference in her hair however, maybe she just had a trim? Ashley definitely didn't have a blowout though, maybe she's a big fan of the air-dry? Who knows!

One thing that everyone already knows is that Ash and her twin sis Mary Kate have money in the bank, and now Forbes is telling us what we already know. The mag just named the ubertwins as the No. 1 Top Earning Stars Under 21 in Hollywood, which did not really come as quite a shock. Their production company, Dualstar, banked a cool $40 mill last year, which isn't too shabby. The girls better appreciate this ranking, because it is the last year they're eligible for the title.. they turn 21 on June 13. Where does the time go?

While I have said a million times that what I love about Mary Kate and Ashley's style is that they do whatever they want and don't care what people say about them and that's what makes their style hot, I have also said that, at this point, they are borderline creeping me out. Making a ghoulish appearance last night at the Giambattista Valli party at Paris Fashion Week, the girls wore long black dresses and leather jackets, and carried their trademark bags: MK with that weird round beaded thing and Ash with her croc Fendi purse. Mary Kate also donned the Prada turban that Ashley has been wearing around all over the place lately. While, in a way, the all black look is working for the twins, it also kind of looks like they're going to a Halloween party and should be carrying orange plastic jack-o-lantern baskets to put their candy in. One thing is for sure, these girls know how to get people talking about their fashion risks!

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen seen on Feb 11 2007 in New York, NY. Spotted wandering the streets of New York on February 11, Mary Kate Olsen looks like a lost old lady who doesn't know which way is up. Teeter-tottering on those sky high shoes of hers, MK completes her "mature" look with a (surprise, surprise) huge fur, Chanel bag, leggings, a grey hat, and a long tank underneath it all. She looks so cold and alone, I hope she finds her way back to the rest home! MK was in New York for Valentine's Day, celebrating with her boo, oil heir Max Snow. On the big night, the two dined at Brooklyn's River Café, one of the five best restaurants in New York according to French restaurant guide Gault Millau. Twin sis Ashley must have taken forever getting ready for her big Valentine's plans, due to how she recently admitted that she is constantly washing her face because she is paranoid of germs. She says she "washes it, like, four times a day, which means I constantly have to redo my make-up. So it's a good job that I hardly wear any!" MK, on the other hand, just throws on a hat and tries to hide her face on a bad skin day. I'm sure Max thinks you're beautiful always, Mary Kate, even when you're dressed like a Park Avenue senior citizen!

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen seen on Feb 11 2007 in Mexico. I enjoy the simple pleasures in life.. a good glass of wine, cheesy 80's movies (hello Overboard and Troop Beverly Hills), and most especially when I see an Olsen smiling! It's a rare occurence, kind of like spotting Nessie in Loch Ness, but when I see them smile, it melts my little heart!

Ashley Olsen was spotted by the paps on vacay in Mexico on February 11, lounging in her cabana, drinking a clear drink (ice water.. or vodka rocks?) and still having cigs and Coronas near by, just for good measure. Wearing a teeny weenie light pinkish/purple bikini and a super sheer, stretched out v-neck tee, Ash seemed to be relaxed and totally happy. Not sure if she knew that she was being photographed, but either way, there's nothing that some south of the border sunbathing and a few cocktails can't fix. Speaking of that tee of hers however, might it be from her and twin MK's new couture line, The Row? Featuring items such as cashmere t-shirts, the first promotional photo for the duo's new line premiered recently. What do you think, would you drop $695 on one of The Row's long cashmere tees?

Seems like New York Fashion Week isn't all the fun, glitz and glamour that it's cracked out to be, as superpower twins Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen appeared to be bored stiff backstage at the W Suite, which they had closed to the public so that they could have some privacy while they partied. But the girls just spent the night sitting around and "looking like the saddest people you have ever seen," said a source. Looking miserable, the twosome weren't having any drinks, or even talking (even to each other!) and sat in their chairs for at least 20 minutes, staring at the floor, said the source. Why so sad, Olsens? This is Fashion Week, go hit up some parties and cut loose!

Earlier in the week on February 8, Ashley went shopping wearing a trendy turban, which is on the cutting-edge-of-fashion these days, with black leggings, a black tee, and a button-down cardigan, leather jacket, Wayfarers and Havaianas. Shop those cares away, Ash!

UPDATE- It has come to my attention that Ash is mourning Anna Nicole's death, which makes sense. But I didn't even know the two were friends!

It's either one extreme or the other for the Olsens, as Ashley proves by wearing these super wide leg jeans with a (surprise, surprise) huge fur coat and a black scarf being worn as a head wrap. Usually clad in either skin tight skinnys or ultra wide leg jeans, Ashley is apparently going to have to ditch one of her favorite skinny jean designers, the Australian brand Tsubi, because she broke up with the brand's CEO, Greg Chait, in the past few weeks. Chait, 27, and Ash split after a year and a half together, allegedly due to how Chait had "commitment issues". Ashley wanted something more permanent, Greg wanted to keep having fun. Same story, time after time. Looks like there's only one thing to do… bring on the wide leg's!

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen seen on Jan 07 2007 in Brentwood, Ca. MK left an art class in Brentwood on January 7, lugging a giant canvas nearly as big as she is. I'm amazed she could lift it! Mary Kate has been attending art classes lately, getting' her Van Gogh on, wearing her typical uniform of leggings, a long shirt, and her scary Balenciaga witch boots, which are nearly 8 inches tall. Never one to blend into the fashion crowd, MK is taking her style to new heights in these bondage-esque boots that are not for the faint of heart. While often controversial, her fashion choices are definitely cutting edge, as she usually goes where most starlets are too scared to go. Style is a unique personal expression, and while MK expressed her inner 100 year-old self at the Golden Globes after parties. At least she stays true to her own style.

In black leggings with black cuffed shorts, a plaid flannel shirt, huge gold bracelet, and oversized shades, MK leaves all of her fashion choices open for criticism. Hey, at least she can pull these looks off! I mean hello, can you imagine superblah Katie Holmes wearing these Balenciaga monsters?

Mary Kate Olsen ran errands on January 3 in Los Angeles in her typical unique attire, possibly inspired by the wicked witch of the west? That hat and those scary Balenciaga shoes, pretty witchlike if I do say so! Always a fan of black, MK played it pretty simple, the rest of her outfit consisting of black leggings, rings, an oversized black hoody (style tip: try buying the sweatshirt in large for Mary Kate's look) with the staple Alexander McQueen skull scarf and that purse she's been lugging around everywhere lately that looks like a grandma sweater she shrunk in the wash and had to make into a bag.

Fans of MK have always tried to duplicate her one of a kind style, and have wondered who her style icons are. In a recent interview with Bliss Magazine, Mary Kate revealed that "pirate" Johnny Depp inspires her style, saying how she "weirdly looks to guys like Johnny Depp for style tips. He just knows how to put things together and I love that scruffy rock look." Goal definitely accomplished, MK.

However, her twin sis, Ashley, tied with Nicole Richie for first place on the animal activist's embarassing list. Maybe the newly dark haired twin has taken her top prize to heart, opting to go on an extravagant shopping spree at Barney's on December 20 not wearing any kind of fur. Ashley's look, however, starts with a vintage scarf, that she pairs with a striped button down, a black wrap jacket, black leggings and a black cap. To complete her maybe-but-probaby-not turnaround of not wearing fur, Ash should visit the zoo and pose for pictures hugging a bear! Hey, I'm just saying...

In the land of Hollywood where young starlets are increasingly dying their hair darker and darker shades, Mary Kate Olsen has dramatically done the complete opposite, and emerged on Decemeber 17 from an appointment with her hairdresser sporting some shockingly platinum tresses. Wearing charcoal jeans, leopard Christian Louboutin pumps, a long white scarf, gold jewelry and a huge fur coat, it comes as quite a shock that MK didn't top PETA's list for 2006! I don't really know how to wrap my mind around this new look of Mary Kate's, on one hand she looks like she's thinking "Yeah, I'm hot, rich and I know it", struttin' her chic self through the street, on obvious display for the paparazzi. On the other, she kind of looks like the wife of a Russian mobster, with her over-the-top gaudy accessories, throwing all taste to the wind. To complete this transformation, all she needs is a fatty Caddy with gold rims and she'll be all set. I can't wait to see how now dark haired twin, Ashley, will counter!

Animal print is definitely all the rage this season, as Ashley Olsen elegantly proves as she leaves her New York apartment on November 27. Wearing a voluminous leopard print coat with a cotton woven shirt and a high waisted black skirt, Ash's new brunette locks are really starting to suit her. I think whenever a famous blonde goes dark there is an adjustment period to get used to it, and now Ashley is workin' her dark 'do! Pay close attention to the way this fashionable twin accessorizes; with red patent leather pumps, tons of bracelets and 80's inspired black shades, Ashley turns running the most mundane of errand into a chic fashion show.

Just days before, Ashley and twin Mary Kate were featured on the Today Show, giving their first live interview in around 2 years. They went into conversation about their fashion line aimed at "tweens", which can be found at WalMart. Puh-lease, you know neither one of them would be caught dead anywhere ending in "mart"!

While I'm still on the fence of whether I like this change or not, it will probably grow on me, but Ashley could basically put a paper bag over her head and still look hot. In a black blazer and medium wash Earnest Sewn zippered cigarette jeans, all eyes are on her shoes, which must jack her up like 5 inches! It just really boggles my mind that skinny jeans with zippered legs are back in fashion, everyone thought those baby's would die a permanent death in the 80's! Leave it to an Olsen to do the fashion unthinkable, and look great doing it!

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen seen on Oct 28 2006 in Santa Monica, Ca. She may be worth millions, but that's no reason Mary Kate Olsen can't get her shop on with an $18 tee at American Apparel! Stopping into the Santa Monica location, MK purchased some scarves, leggings (shocker) and some basic tees… I'm just hoping that they were in some outrageously bright colors! I mean, come on, raise your hand if you're tired of Mary Kate rocking the gothic look! Leaving the store, MK did her usual cat-and-mouse routine with the paparazzi, covering her face and trying to avoid being photographed. As she walked up to her Porsche Cayenne (the getaway vehicle), she realized she was locked out, so she decided to give it up and nicely smiled for the cameras. It's a good thing her assistant was close by with the keys, across the street at, where else, Starbucks. Go on with your bad self, MK!

If you do long to rock the going-to-a-funeral chic look, get some black leggings (and if you don't have them already, what's the hold up!), a deep v-neck black cashmere tunic and layer on pounds and pounds of necklaces, featuring scary things like skulls and shipwreck findings. Tres chic!

While it's super well known that the other it girls, Linds and Nic and Misch, rely on vampiress Rachel Zoe to choose their fashions for them, MK goes it alone, and it shoes! And in a good way, I think! She's not afraid to be unique and not care how much people say she dresses terribly, she's perfection at matching break-the-bank couture items with ratty old vintage pieces (like this rad 80's "Frankie Says Relax", an ode to their famous song which dominated the plot of Zoolander). Rockin' out with her crazy rings and Blackberry, MK loves Joe's Jeans' Chelsea in Charcoal, which she expertly pairs with a black hoodie. Lindsay still wearing it is one thing, but I expected more from you, MK. While the twins have been on a whirlwind tour of Paris, attending fashion shows and shopping to their teeny heart's content, Mary Kate took the time to enrich herself with the gourmet Parisian flavors of.. Starbucks?! Doesn't she get her fill when she frequents the Brentwood location like 17 times a day? You're in Paris!! Go sip a café au lait in a quaint French coffee house! Jeez, you'd think with all that culture around they'd drink it in.. literally!

With polished nails, chic shoes and a mod looking theme, this high fashion photo is a huge departure from Mary Kate's hippie look of late. Goodbye bedsheet as a dress and hello J Brand! Gray is the hot new wash of all jeans this season, and skinny is always in. Take a tip from MK, or her stylist at least, and pick up a pair of the new "it" denim.

Gossip surrounding Mary Kate's constant battle with her weight is spreading again lately, due to those photos from the Golden Globes after-parties in which the teeny tiny millionaire looked alarmingly thin in a low cut gown. MK firmly denies any rumors that she has relapsed into her old anorexic ways, and explains that this incredible-shrinking-woman optical illusion is just that, an illusion, caused by, of all things, her hair. Mary Kate's rep says that she hasn't lost any weight, continues to stay healthy, and that the "blonde hair she has now makes her look skinny." This hair-brained excuse is quite the doozy, and while I will admit that at the Golden Globes her blonde hair appeared to be white, making MK look like a senior citizen, I don't think that is what's making her seem thin.. it's her protruding ribcage!

On January 26, Mary Kate shocked all onlookers with her fashion choice, which she does on a regular basis, but this time it was even worse than usual! In black leggings, a black longsleeve, big black shades, a gold clutch and a fur vest that looks like she was attacked by the abominable snowman, MK definitely made that woman (or is it a man?) behind her do a triple take. Is she in LA or the arctic?
