ASH WANTS HEATHER BACK

Hot mama Ashlee Simpson was spotted arriving at JFK in NYC yesterday, September 2, and even though she was headed to an airport, I have to say - the girl still looks pretty stylish! I am wavering on whether or not I like her striped jacket, it's a little too "4th of July" for my taste, but the idea of an oversized blazer with a heather grey t-shirt (like James Perse's Back Neck Drape T-Shirt in Heather Grey) and super skinny rinse denim (check out Habitual Jeans' Skinny Glory in Even Tide or 1921 Jeans' Slim Jean in Rinse) paired with beat-up Converse sneakers and a long shoulder bag (try Carla Mancini's Double Handle Bag in Black) is a casual winner. There are only a few fashionistas who can pull of the used-and-abused Converse look without seeming like they are trying to hard, and I think Ash definitely is one of them. While Ash is gearing up for her debut in the new CW show "Melrose Place," it seems the fiery redhead is longing for O.G. castmember Heather Locklear to return to the show. Of whether or not Locklear will return, she says, "That's the big question, but none of us know if she's going to come back or not. I mean, of course everyone would love for her to come back, but we don't know. [It's] up in the air." She then continues to divulge a pretty shocking revelation, saying, "I had never watched the original 'Melrose Place.' They had such a good vision for it, and [the new show] is a little bit grittier than the original and a little bit more cinematic. There's still good ol' drama, and I was really intrigued by my character." Are any of you out there stoked to catch this updated series?
