Taking a moment to step back in awe at the Art Basel Miami exhibition on Dec 4, Beyoncé Knowles and her hubby Jay-Z spent a lovely afternoon taking in the variety of international works on display at the colossal event. Dressed elegantly in a cerulean blue sheath dress hugging her curves (get the look with a similar fitting frock like Black Halo’s Trapunto Sheath Dress in Black or nab the brilliant hue with Karina Grimaldi’s Jasmine Silk Mini Dress in Royal Blue), B wore a sexy pair of python stilettos complemented by a chunky black necklace (make it wearable with Michele Michel’s Hematite Opera Necklace in Silver). Letting her voluminous locks curl naturally in the humid Florida weather, Beyoncé carried a boxy black leather purse (try Rocco e Dante’s oversized Katie Bag in Blue) with a leather jacket slung over her arm (finish your ‘fit with Gold Hawk’s Ruffle Leather Jacket in Moonless Night). Very trendy yet sophisticated, and not too over the top – I’m lovin’ the bold blue shade of the dress! B’s latest project, Cadillac Records, was just released on Dec 5 – have you had a chance to check it out? If not, no worries – you’ll have a chance to see Beyoncé on the big screen a lot in 2009, with a couple of new projects in the works including Obsessed, a thriller starring Idris Elba and Ali Larter. One thing you won’t see B doing in the New Year? Starting a family. Beyoncé recently confessed her fear of childbirth to the press: “I’m terrified of having a child. No way! I’m terrified of delivering a child because I saw my nephew being born. That traumatized me. I’m only 27. I’ve got time.” It’s no secret that Jay-Z wants to make some babies – how long do you think he’ll hold out for Ms. B?
