Are they or aren't they?

As Jessica Simpson struck a pose at the In The Hands of Gods Nike Party in Cannes (I know, I know… many people are wondering what she's doing there in the first place!) on May 17, she definitely gave off many of those facial expressions that she's known for, possibly to hide a heartache. Wearing a black ruffled shirt-dress (Gold Hawk's Ruffle Tunic is an alternative) with super-sized hoop earrings and shoes that are totally too small, I have to say, Jessica's style looked better (and not as flashy-trashy) here than it has in a long time (Costume Institute Gala anyone?). While rumors have been flying that Jessica was dumped by her BF John Mayer, Jessica refused to answer any questions about her love life while at Cannes. She did tell People Magazine that she is "very happy, but I don't really want to talk about my personal life tonight because it's not what it's about." Hmm.. sounds fishy to me! But now, In Touch is reporting that Jess and John went on a date on May 20, and that they are considering getting back together. I vote for NO! Jessica used to be so cute and bubbly, but since she's been dating John, she's just kind of blah and boring.. and a little annoying! I say she makes a clean break from him, while she can!
