The always flawless Miranda Kerr was photographed out and about in NYC yesterday, July 11, just before picking up her baby Flynn following a photo shoot. Outfit wise, Miranda wore a skinny pair of tan A.L.C. trousers with black side paneling (check out Hanii Y's Paneled Skinny Pants in Beige) with a sleeveless white button up Equipment blouse (try either Free People's Slim Chiffon Top in Ivory or Joie's Edalette Top in Porcelain), and then slipped into a pair of patent leather pointed toe Manolo Blahnik stilettos. A big black Celine tote (like Zambos & Siega's Lenny Tote in Black) and black Stella McCartney aviators were the finishing touches for this sleek and chic ensemble. Thoughts, friends? Miranda has been in the news quite a lot lately, due to her recent childbirth comments in Harper’s Bazaar UK. Miranda opted against having epidural anesthesia during her son’s birth, and told the magazine that she decided to have a natural birth without any pain medication after watching baby-bonding videos. Kerr saw that babies without an epidural come out and go straight for the breast. Says MK: "Then they showed ones [babies] right after the epidural, and that didn’t happen. The baby was a little bit drugged up, and I was like, ‘Well I don’t want that.’ I wanted to give him the best possible start in life I could." A popular mom blog called The Stir did not take too kindly to Miranda's remarks, and said: "Being a supermodel doesn’t make you an expert, she should choose her words more wisely." What are your thoughts on this issue?

I usually just love what she wears but not a fan of these pants. I know the black striping is meant to slim but here it just looks awkward. Other that that.....lovely.guest on Jul 13 2012 @ 06:30 AM
