AND THE EMMY GOES TO... LEIGHTON?

"Gossip Girl" cutie Leighton Meester made her appearance on the red carpet of Nylon Magazine's Mexico Launch Cocktail Party (where she was the covergirl of the mag!), and either she - or her stylist - made a very interesting choice. Leighton posed proudly in an interesting sparkly mesh dress, which I don't think would have been as questionable without those lace-up ties on top and the second sheer section at the bottom of the dress. What do you think? From here, Leighton accessorized her look with a pair of black strappy heels, a sparkly clutch (similar to Julie K Handbags' Natalie Sleek Clutch in Black Python), and a beaded bracelet (I love the look of Rachel Leigh's Twisted Bangles in Plum). I will say, though, her makeup looked flawless! For those of you "GG" fans, it seems that Entertainment Weekly is right there with you. In a new article, they proclaim, "Attention Emmy voters: Leighton Meester deserves to be nominated for Best Actress in a Drama. This episode of Gossip Girl was definitely a chance to watch her shine, and there's nothing like Yale to reveal her not-so-inner bitch. And nothing makes Blair more fun to watch than a worthy opponent, and last night that was the new teacher, Rachel Carr (played by Laura Breckenridge)." What do you think - Leighton for best actress?
