Never shy around flashing bulbs, Eva Longoria Parker made a fabulous entrance on the red carpet of the ALMA Awards in Pasadena on August 17. Eva arrived with her hubby, sharing a few laughs together before slipping inside to prep for her role as host for the evening. Though Eva had a whopping ten wardrobe and hair changes, I favor the frock she arrived in as the most flattering of the bunch. Wearing a sleek tailored dress with stunning stone detail on the split neckline, Eva looked as polished as ever, but wait… is that just awkward pleating around the stomach area, or is she camouflaging a baby bump? I want to say it’s just the dress, but we all know Eva is itching for a little one – what do you think? To emulate Eva’s red carpet style, check out the similar fit of Walter’s Jacquard Dress in Copper, pair with a simple black clutch (like Antoinette Lee’s Python Vita Clutch in Midnight) and finish off the look with a chunky bracelet (see Amy DiGregorio’s simple Allston Bracelet in Gold). Eva completed her elegant ‘fit with her voluminous bob and a pair of classy peep toe heels, perhaps taking some style advice from her friend Posh? Back to the pregnancy rumors, Ms. Longoria Parker added more fuel to the fire when she dined out on Tues and Weds wearing a baggy dress followed by a baggy tunic. The photogs snapped Eva leaving her restaurant Beso in a stance that definitely looks like she’s hiding something under those uncharacteristically maternal clothes! Eva has delighted in telling the press she’s been allowed to “let go” of her figure for her Desperate Housewives character this season, but they’re also padding her up with stomach and butt pads on the show to make it more realistic. It’s awfully convenient for someone who is trying to conceive to be able to cover up her baby bump over the next few months with those pads… don’t you think? Eva and Tony have both denied rumors they’re trying to make a baby, and their good buddy Mario Lopez came to Eva’s defense this week, saying, “She doesn't (read about herself), but I think people tell her - and she gets a kick out of it. She's very calm and very secure. She knows people are always going to (talk). That stuff doesn't bother her.” Maybe it doesn’t bother her because she knows the truth! What do you think?
