It wouldn't be the Teen Choice Awards without Miley Cyrus, as the Disney starlet posed for photographers and struck her signature moves last night at the ceremony in Universal City. Miley (her stylist, actually) paired a Haute Hippie black sequined mini skirt (for a denim option, try Genetic Denim's Alex Skirt in Blur) paired with a sheer white ribbed Hanes v-neck (like Splendid's 2x1 Ribbed Tank in Vanilla), black Giuseppe Zanotti heels, a skinny black studded belt (check out Jack Rabbit Collection's Bullet Belt in Black) and a ton of Loree Rodkin jewelry. For a few jewelry pieces inspired by Miley's look, try CC Skye's Double Wrap Bracelet in Black, Femme Metale Jewelry's Old World Cross Pendant in Silver and Marcia Moran's Dangle Web Necklace in Rhodium Plated. Lay it on me, readers - do you like Miley's look? We have to remember she is only 16, so I think the look works overall - it's fun and age-appropriate. It wouldn't hurt her to have taken off one piece of jewelry before leaving the house, though! It seems that whatever little Miley does, controversy follows. Case in point, her performance at the show last night, where she performed her song "Party in the USA" with the help of a pole that quite resembled that of a stripper. Ian Drew, Us Weekly's Senior Editor, commented "She already has this risque image, so it really wasn't much of a stretch. That's how Britney took off. She was the good girl gone bad, and it looks to be working for Miley as well." However, a Disney rep has this to say: "Disney Channel won't be commenting on that performance, although parents can rest assured that all content presented on the Disney Channel is age-appropriate for our audience - kids 6-14 - and consistent with what our brand values are." Talk about a non-statement! Child psychologist Wendi Fischer has this to add: "She's sending this message that this is 'OK' to do, and I don't think it is OK to do. Miley's only 16. Why is she rushing it?" What are your thoughts, readers? Is everyone making a mountain out of a molehill?

UHM, sorry . It's not her age that's not working with this outfit, it's simply the outfit. It'd look hideous on anyone wearing it which means it looks twice as band on her! And LOL to 4:35!
