ADDING DENIM TO HER REPERTOIRE

Getting back to business in NYC, Jessica Simspon looks fresh and fit as she leaves the Ritz Carlton hotel on June 23 to catch a flight back to LA. The songstress turned entrepreneur spent a few days in the Big Apple previewing her brand new Jessica Simpson Jeanswear collection to a select few at her NYC showroom. After all the meetings Jess headed home in casual cropped cargo pants (love the silky feel of Rich & Skinny's Cool Cargo Crop in Army) with a fun Willie Nelson tee (put a new spin on the graphic tee with Yvette Mandell's distressed Peacock Feather Boyfriend Tee in Grey) and a bleached denim jacket to keep her warm on her flight. Jess carried her trademark oversized bag (just like CC Skye's Love82 in Lamb Black) and her essential platform heels (check out Gwyneth Shoes' Tanya in Black to strut your stuff this summer). Lastly Jess piled on the shine with a flashy bangle set (like Amrita Singh's Allie Bangle Set in Multi) and some flirty gold hoops (love the cascading chains on Calico Juno's Hammered Drops Cluster Chain in Gold), wearing rhinestone studded aviators to complete the look. What do you think readers, does this casual look work for her? I'm loving the cropped pants with the heels, I just wish the tee and jacket worked a little bit better. In other JS news, after wrapping her show The Price of Beauty Jess attended the White House Correspondents' Dinner, where she chatted with US Weekly about her health regimen: “For me, it’s just eat whatever makes you feel good. Work out whenever you want to. Just take care of yourself. I think when we’re in love, when we have love in our life, that’s when we look beautiful.” So… love makes you skinny? Sounds like a great diet to me!
