New mom Ashlee Simpson was spotted leaving a salon in West Hollywood on December 19 after ditching the red and sporting much lighter, layered locks for the holidays. As I'm sure you know, LA is like a a freezing tundra right now, so of course all the celebs are bundling up to stay warm. Ashlee chose a midnight blue coat (Elizabeth Gillett Ltd's Lydia Velvet Jacket in Blue is a great alternative) over a basic black tee (check out Qi's V Underslip in Black) and with black skinnies (like Desert Blue's The Phoenix Skinny Jean in Black) and ballet flats. She completed her look with a throwback pair of Ray Bans, a printed scarf, and an oversized leather bag (similar to Carla Mancini's The Shopper Bag in Black). What do you think of Ashlee's look here- hit or miss? Personally, I think she looks great. Nothing special, but definitely not dreadful! Christmas is a time when families get together, and the Simpson family is definitely no exception. A source tells E! Online, "Jessica and Tony and Ashlee and Pete will be celebrating at the sisters' grandmothers house in Waco, Texas. This Christmas is a big deal, and the whole family wants to be together for baby Bronx's first Christmas." How precious, I just wonder if this family gathering will add additional pressure to Romo to propose to Jess?
