Mary-Kate Olsen was photographed leaving her New York City apartment (following one of her burly bodyguards, naturally) on May 19, avoiding the paparazzi as she headed into a waiting car. For her casual outfit, MK stuck to black with an accent of tan on her suede jacket. She paired black jeggings (try Work Custom Jeans' Stiletto Leg with Zip in Black) with her favorite Givenchy chain booties - that she also wore here - and what looks like a vintage tan suede jacket (I love Barlow's Asky Leather Moto Jacket in Tan). Next up was a black button down - check out Boulee's Kim Butterfly Sleeve Top in Black - do you think this is the same one that she wore to the Free Arts 12th Annual Art Auction on May 14? It would be pretty funny if it was, considering that MK could probably buy every black shirt in the world if she wanted to! MKO finished off her look with a pair of black shades and a beaded rosary (like Jessica Elliot's Wrought Iron Clover Necklace in Vermeil). Do you like Mary-Kate's look here, readers - or is her look a bit too grunge for your taste? You know where I stand... love her! As I'm sure you know, Mary-Kate was pretty close with Heath Ledger when he passed away, and it seems that she really took his passing to heart. Says a source, "Although neither of the former party girls used drugs, it was a sad wake-up call for both of them." I'm sure it was, to say the least.

Go away haters... for those of you who don't hey why MK & A are style icons, you really don't get fashion. It's about taking risks and doing your own thing, not playing it vanilla like everyone else in Hollywood. LOVE THEM!guest on May 22 2010 @ 09:36 AM

ha, playing it vanilla, well put 9:36! I adore MK & A; so extraordinary and creative; never afraid of taking risks and get rid of whatever trend is "in" at the momentguest on May 22 2010 @ 12:51 PM
