Spotted picking her kids up from school in London on February 8, Elle MacPherson looked every inch the hot mom in her edgy ensemble. Starting with a pair of light wash distressed MET Jeans (get the look with not quite as many rips with Denim of Virtue's Patience 5 Pocket Straight Leg in Rocker Blue), Elle tucked a vintage graphic tee (try Chaser's Grateful Dead V-Neck in Grey) into her jeans and stayed warm in a big black Bird by Juicy Couture fur coat. Get the look with faux fur in True Grit's Shawl Collar Jacket in Black. From there, Elle opted for a pair of timeless Ray-Ban aviators and a pair of black booties. For a slightly more rugged pair, check out Farylrobin's Mandy Tall Lug Sole Boot in Black. What are your thoughts on Elle's ensemble here, friends? Are you loving this on her, or is it trying a bit too hard? It seems that The New York Times is a fan of the look, since the named this their "Look of the Moment." Says the NYT: "Model citizen — from the tee to the boots, this look gives new meaning to the words "hot momma." Elle MacPherson, mother of two, dropping off her sons at school in Notting Hill, London. Student attendance rate is at an all-time high, and dads are volunteering to drive carpool." Thoughts?

I think you need to ditch this look after 35. If the jeans werent so destroyed this look could have been saved! A fashion DONT for a women of a "certain" age!guest on Feb 15 2011 @ 02:35 AM
