Stepping out for the Christian Dior Spring 2012 show at Paris Fashion Week on September 30, Olivia Palermo opted for a sheer, slightly Gothic and totally chic look that's a bit of an edgy department for the usually more demure starlet. By pairing a sheer, layered dress with a crimson Dior tote, black boots, oversized cat eye sunglasses, and a statement making pair of jade Bochic earrings and matching cuff, Olivia's look was definitely apropos for the Parisian fashion show. If you're interested in incorporating some sheer black sexiness into your wardrobe, check out the following options available on CoutureCandy: Kimberly Taylor's Crinkled T-Shirt in Black, Akiko's Chiffon Tie Top in Black, and Nicole Miller's Black Sheath Dress. Then, for a bold red bag a la Olivia's, try Julie K Handbags' Laura in Red Cobra. What are your thoughts on this look for Olivia, everyone? Are you liking the fashion risk she took, or do you prefer her regular ladies-who-lunch style? While I recently reported that Olivia's blog is on the way, the fashionista is now revealing new details about her latest project. She says: "I'll be doing some posts and I have a wonderful team of writers that I'm working with. They're definitely going to be touching on a little bit of Fashion Week here in New York and overseas as well. I like it because you’re able to be more creative and have your focus, so it’s great." But what about this supposed fashion line that she's allegedly had in the works for quite some time? OP dishes: "I think [it will happen] at some point. Right now I have so much going on, but it's something I want to do in the future. It's just a matter of when." I'd say she should strike while the iron's hot!

extremely interesting look here and she can really pull it off. Simple statements (i.e. red bag and red
lips) add to the charm. I'm generally not a fan of this see through look but she works it beautifully.guest on Oct 03 2011 @ 06:47 AM
I too am not a fan of the sheer trend, but in this case I like it. I think it's because O.P. is styling a perfect balance between sheerness and coverage. The red bag, lips, and nails add to the sexiness, but the pop of turquoise in the earrings and bracelet are a genius counter-point! Love her or hate her, she's a true fashionista.guest on Oct 03 2011 @ 02:34 PM
