Keeping a low profile in Venice, CA on October 2, Christina Aguilera struts her stuff while out with her husband on Abbot Kinney last Friday night. She must have heard the criticism about her lackluster style as of late, revamping her look with a cheeky blue bra under a sheer black top (like Generra's Sheer Button Blouse in Black). Do you think the bra works with the top? I feel like the full coverage style takes away from the sexiness of the look, but maybe it'd be too racy with a more enticing cut. Christina paired the bold top with faded, distressed skinnies (try 7 for All Mankind's Roxanne in Super Vintage Nakita), studded black boots (add edge to any 'fit with Farylrobin's Valencia Heeled Ankle Boot in Grey) and a glossy black tote (CC Skye's Janey Fringe Hobo Bag in Black with Gold Fringe). Top it off with a black banded fedora and red lipstick and you have classic Christina. Do you think this ensemble works for her? For those of you enjoying the celebrity guest judges on Project Runway this season, you're in for a treat – Mamaguilera is lined up to judge this week's challenge, standing proudly with Heidi Klum on the runway in photos released earlier this week. Can't agree more – Michael and Nina, can you please stop playing musical judges every episode? I was also really shocked that only Logan got called out for his hideous pantsuit, but there were two walking down the runway – how did Nicolas escape Heidi's wrath, especially after the evil looks she was dishing him last week? Making her way to LA on the press tour for Couple's Retreat, Kristen Bell stuns at the Mann's Village Theatre premiere in Westwood, CA on October 5. I simply can't explain how much I love her pale blue Marchesa Spring 2010 strapless gown, from the same collection as Olivia Wilde's Emmy Awards gown this year. The intricate lace and chiffon layered style and draping chiffon train are a refreshingly feminine pick for Kristen. To nab the same delicate style for fall without breaking the bank, opt for Sue Wong decadent creations like the Beaded Bodice Empire Dress in Beige, the Victorian Layered Gown in Ivory or the Ostrich Feather Short Dress in Ivory. KB completed the look with champagne satin Loubs, a silver wrap bracelet (like Michele Michel's Swirl Bracelet in Silver) and a pretty cocktail ring. Love the romantic waves around the face – any other hairstyle wouldn't have done the dress justice. What do you think of Kristen's red carpet attire? While KB's silver screen debut hasn't made much of an impression on audiences (it's scoring a rotten 12% on Rotten Tomatoes), she'll have another chance to shine on screen as Christina Aguilera's rival in the upcoming flick Burlesque, the story of a small town girl who steals the show (and Kristen's spotlight) after getting a job at a burlesque club in LA. It will be Mamaguilera's big screen debut and the first time KB will have her claws out on camera – unless you count her bitchy character in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Looking perky and pretty in plaid, Hayden Panettiere stopped to show her fans some love on the way in to ABC Studios to tape Jimmy Kimmel Live! in Los Angeles on Oct 1 . Although HP wore a sexy red dress on the show, she arrived in a much more casual 'fit, opting for a comfy turquoise plaid top (try Raw 7's Plaid Button Down Crystal Cross Shirt in Grey) with white short-shorts (like Hudson Jeans' appropriately named Hayden Signature Short in White) and fringed moccasin boots (accessorize with a fringed bag like Novella Royale's Liv Fringe Bag in Brown Multi, made of recycled leather jackets). Hayden kept her accessories simple with a dome ring (I'm sure she'd go for Ettika's Love in Peace Ring in Gold) and tan purse, arriving with her hair already curled and stage makeup done. What do you think of her casual look? Earlier this week, NBC attempted to revive slumping ratings for "Heroes" by releasing a sexy photo from next Monday's episode a few days early. The photo shows HP locking lips with her roomie on the show, and according to "Heroes" bloggers things are going to heat up a lot more than that! What do you think of NBC's last ditch effort to save "Heroes"? I say, if they had to do something desperate, at least it will boost HP's role!

Enjoying some time off with the fam in Brignoles, France, Angelina Jolie was spotted taking Maddox grocery shopping on September 29. Making huge waves in the fashion world in a shockingly bright dress…. Kidding. Surprise surprise, she's wearing another black maxi! This one is very similar to the maxi she wore on vacation in the same area in August, except that the ugly black lace ruffles are replaced with a more refined tiered skirt. There's nothing wrong with a basic black maxi for a casual summer or fall look, but if you must go this route at least add some innovation, like the unique cut of Lotta Stensson's 2 Layer Best Dress in Black (I happen to own this dress and it's fantastically flattering!) or a fun burst of color like Vava by Joy Han's Grace Long Tube Dress in Black. Ang also carried a black tote over her shoulder (try Marnie Bug's Helen in Black) and wore a loose chain bracelet (like Kimberly Faith's Flower of the Month Bracelet in Gold) that shines next to her mirror tinted aviators. What do you think of Ang's basic black 'fit? Later in the week Brad & Angie left the kids in France and made a UNHCR trip to Damascus, Syria, where they met with exiled Iraqi refugees and spoke to the media about how important it is for the international community not to forget about them: “Most Iraqi refugees cannot return to Iraq in view of the severe trauma they experienced there, the uncertainty linked to the coming Iraqi elections, the security issues and the lack of basic services. They will, therefore, be in need of continued support from the international community.” It's so refreshing to see Angie continuing to take her Goodwill Ambassador role seriously, especially as a working mom of 6. I guess all that's left to say is: how can we help?

Debuting a bold new hair color in Beverly Hills last week, Jessica Alba enjoyed the last few days of summer and headed out for a mani-pedi with a pal on September 27. I'm not going to try to convince anyone Jess is looking super trendy here, but I am a little intrigued by the fresh-out-of-the-box haircolor. Let's just hope it's for her next movie! I wasn't super impressed with her going back to blonde over the summer (and from your comments, neither were most of you readers) but I definitely don't think this is the right way to go either. Wonder what kind of role calls for such a shocking shade? I think it had to have been a mistake because she was sporting a much less jarring shade while having family brunch with Cash and Honor at Griddle Café over the weekend. We'll just have to wait and see! While catching up with her friend, Jess went for an uber casual vibe in a studded charcoal tank (go edgy with Raw 7's Shredded Racerback Tank in Deep Navy) over a lacy black cami (steer away from the lingerie look with 7 for All Mankind's Tank with Lace in Onyx), black cut off shorts (go for the mid-thigh look with Pierce Jean's Key Large Trouser Short in Sailor and crop them to your desired length) and silver flip-flops. She went very classy with the accessories – a wristwatch and gorgeous cabernet quilted bag (like Linea Pelle's luxe Dylan Shoulder Bag in Purple) – but it looks like she's having a serious wardrobe malfunction in the inner thigh area. Do you think she intended to have such a hiked up hem? Rihanna wore similar shorts over the summer with a shorter front and back, except that hers was cut on the outer hem, not inner. Very peculiar! In other Alba news, Jess recently sounded off about her high school days when she was less than popular: “I was bullied so badly my dad used to have to walk me into school so I didn’t get attacked… I’d eat my lunch in the nurse’s office so I didn’t have to sit with the other girls.” How sad! Miley Cyrus and Hayden Panettiere have also recently spoken out about how hard high school for them thanks to bullies. Do you think the problem is the school or society?

Sharing some sisterly love, Jessica Simpson celebrated baby sis Ashlee's 25th birthday at MGM's Wet Republic pool party in Las Vegas on October 3. Both sported pool-and-parent appropriate attire, as Papa Joe and Tina Simpson were in attendance, along with Ashlee's husband Pete Wentz. Birthday girl went for a more fun look, wearing a black jumper (like Generra's Shift Jumper Dress in Black) over a strappy black swimsuit (opt for OYE Swimwear's Butterfly Effect Monokini in Black), topped off with a black rimmed fedora. Very cute that she wore leopard wedges from the Jessica Simpson Collection, but the set of a thousand bangles is a little much – it looks like a Slinky on her arm! Keep it simple with Accessories & Beyond's Braided Magnetic Cuff Bracelet in Bronze, which I have to add are also noise-free, unlike the set Ash picked. Going for a more resort look, Jess picked a high waist black bikini (try Marysia's more playful Wide Band Bikini in Black/Aqua/Buff) topped with a printed sarong kaftan (make it work for pool or day with Graham & Spencer's V Neck Tunic in Black), black strappy wedges and fade tinted sunglasses. What do you think of the Simpson sister's poolside fashion? I have to say I can't remember the last time they both looked so polished and happy to be together – too cute to see them having fun! Besides hanging out in their private cabana, Ash had a rockin' bday complete with a triple tiered, cupcake topped cake before requesting "Single Ladies" and jumping into the crowd to dance. To add to the celebration, earlier in the week the entire Simpson family was honored with the Operation Smile Founders Circle Award for their work with the organization. Jess has been a Celebrity Ambassador for Operation Smile since 2003, and went on a medical mission trip to Kenya with Papa Joe in 2005. Kudos to the family for staying involved with such a worthy cause!

From one Olivia to another! "The City" star Olivia Palermo was spotted posing for photogs as she arrived at the PIX11 Morning News Show in New York on October 6 looking ladylike as always - I just wish she would work on her posture a bit! That picture on the left is positively hunched. For her morning show look, Olivia got creative with her ensemble, as she paired a longsleeve dusty rose dress (similar to Rachel Pally's Ramona Dress in Ash) under what seems to be a tweed corset top that she then belted (like Rough Roses' Leather Strap Belt in Black) and wore with an assortment of silver chain necklaces. For the rest of her outfit, OP toted a satin coat inside of a large tote (check out Carla Mancini's unique Whipstitched Tote in Taupe), and then picked a single stunning oversized gold ring (try Allison Daniel Designs' hilariously named Big Fat Mamma Ring in Gold). The finishing touches to her look were her curled, shiny locks and a demure pink pucker. What are your thoughts on Olivia's look here everyone, do you think she pulls it off? For those of you who are fans of Olivia's show "The City," you will be pleased to know that she hasn't lost any of her confidence (read: prickliness) that garnered her fans and haters in the first season. In fact, NY Magazine declares in an article, "Whitney Is Still a Pushover and Olivia Is Still Mean on "The City."' The mag says, "Olivia wears weird short shorts, lives in Tribeca, and doesn't seek to embitter America by moving like Whitney (that we know of). Olivia has a new job at Elle, where her boss Joe Zee isn't around enough to see how incompetent she is, while her other boss Erin refuses to put up with her bitchitude, stealing our hearts like a first true love!" Lighting up the red carpet at the premiere of Whip It last week, Olivia Wilde pulls off an adorably relaxed look in Los Angeles on September 29. I love that she went so casual for this event – not that anyone was dressed uber fancy, but both Ellen Page and director Drew Barrymore showed up in stunning LBD's. O chose to mix things up with a fiery red frock (try Graham & Spencer's Cami Dress in Red or Ella Moss's Marlo Halter Dress in Bonfire) topped with a casual denim jacket and super strappy black heels. I love the shoe choice but do you think it works with the denim? Olivia completed the look with a gold bracelet and intricate beaded clutch with a plum satin back (try similar evening bags like Moyna Handbag's Snap Closure Beaded Clutch in Red/Gold, or go for a bold contrast with the Deco Beaded Clutch in Blue). What do you think of her look overall, including the natural hair and makeup? Many of you might be surprised to hear that not only is Olivia married, but she and her husband, director Tao Ruspoli, tied the knot all the way back in 2003. She recently talked about how tough it was for her to juggle married life while playing Marissa's sexy lesbian love interest on The O.C.: “There were times when people thought it would really hurt me. The movie is inspired by Olivia's brother-in-law and his dilemma to go to rehab or face years of jail time. Paris Fashion Week has been a sartorial playground for Rihanna, and the pop princess has taken full advantage of the pass to parade around in her most risque, edgiest 'fits. In between attending numerous soirees and shows, Ri checked out Chanel's Spring/Summer 2010 RTW Show held at the Grand Palais in Paris, France yesterday, October 6. For her look, Rihanna paired a fitted white corset top (check out Nanette Lepore's Coral Reef Corset Top in White) tucked into a blue tweed skirt (try Proportion Of Blu's Undici Asymmetrical Skirt in Grey), and tucked her hands into a glitzy Chanel muff.
