Designers Cheyann Benedict and Claire Stansfield began marketing a line of luxe T-shirts out of their L.A. garage and ended up creating a frenzy for their pop colored, combed cotton basics that tap into vintage Ts and concert Ts for a couture version of the layered look.
"'Like second skin.' That's how we'd define C&C tees and tanks. Light, airy, soft and forgiving, C&C tops form to the body. The tees are made of super-soft combed cotton -- the kind that stretches and moves in ways you'd expect from a great tee.
"Layering is key. Because these tees are so ultra light & thin, you can indulge in layers upon layers and never worry about looking bulky!
"You may wish to go up a size for the top layer and stick with your true size for the under layers. Keep in mind that there are infinite possibilities for layers, as C&C tees come in such a wide range of juicy, amazing colors." from the C&C California Web site
The shirts are made thin to facilitate layering, and the combed cotton is extremely forgiving. Some women size up for the top layers and go with their true size for the under layers. A single C&C will leave nothing to the imagination, but two and more will keep you covered and colorful. The range of styles mean countless possible presentations. Unorthodox color combos are the rule of thumb.
A number of customers have written in recommending C&C for pregant women. May report having worn them all the way through their pregnancy!
A word of warning for those of you who are hard on things: C&C tends to be delicate and requires handwashing. Expect a bit of stretching out. Read More…
