Calico Juno Designs

Created by jewelry designer Bonnie Riconda, the Calico Juno philosophy is all about brilliant, bright colors, a light feeling of airiness, and of all things truly handcrafted by the artist herself. After getting a BFA from the New York College of PA in 1998 and an MFA in painting and sculpture from Long Island University of New York in 2000, Riconda had a passion for the creative and started her business Calico Juno Designs. With no previous experience in jewelry, Riconda knew that she loved to design things by hand, so she began experimenting with some gemstones and wire. After many attempts (and failures), she was able to come up with 30 original designs and created her own website. Now the Calico Juno Designs website features over 1,000 designs and is carried by retailers across the country and internationally. The Calico Juno jewelry line is full of handwraped gemstones and beads, handmade hoops and French wires and uses no pre-made or fabricated parts. Precious and semi-precious gemstones, Austrian crystals, freshwater pearls, and other stones are all used to create a wonderful palette of colors in these one-of-a-kind designs.
