Created by husband and wife team Chachi Prasad and Karam Kim, Bishop of Seventh is all about old world tailoring in the modern era. Raised in New York, Prasad attained his BBA in international marketing before continuing his education at F.I.T. From F.I.T., Prasad was able to dive into the New York fashion scene with various positions at top fashion houses like Calvin Klein Collection, John Varvatos, Oscar by Oscar de la Renta, and Ellen Tracy. Kim was born and raised in Korea and arrived in New York City in 1998 to study fashion design at F.I.T. After graduating, Kim began her training under fashion greats such as Donna Karan, Micharl Kors, and Tse. Future husband and wife, Prasad and Kim, met in 2003 on a blind date and putting all their expertise together, (with Prasad responsible for design and marketing and Kim responsible for design and manufacturing), created Bishop of Seventh. With all the company’s signature cuts hand sketched, designed and interpreted by Prasad and Kim, the entrepreneurial house prides itself on the creativity, technology, and craftsmanship that goes into each pair of jeans. With celebrity fans like Carrie Underwood, Anna Lynn McCord, Carey Mulligan, and Gabrielle Union, Bishop of Seventh jeans have become the new must-have premium denim brand.
Bishop of Seventh jeans are tailored with clean lines, giving a sleek and polished look and created by designers who believe that instead of following current fashion trends, they are going to produce jeans that will be fashionable for many years to come. And while many of us will buy into the current jean trend whether it’s colored jeans or printed jeans, boyfriend or boot cut, your Bishop of Seventh jeans are going to be worn season after season even after your other pairs have gone out of style.
