All great bikinis have great beginnings. The brand Beauty and the Beach was created on the white sands of Maui by friends who spent most of their time on the sand or in the surf, but still wanted to feel fun, fashionable, and feminine. Finding little in the way of swimwear that fit the bill, they designed their own line called Beauty and the Beach Hawaii in 2008.

Beauty and the Beach swimsuits have been featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition for the last three years, as well as the Surfing Magazine Swimsuit Edition. The swimsuits are made out of quality material which fits very well and are incredibly flattering. The architecture of the suits makes Beauty and the Beach an ideal suit to be caught in at the beach or by the pool. Crochet bikinis have made a real comeback for 2013. This was partly inspired by beauties the likes of Kim Kardashian. They are a really versatile fashion item and can be worn beneath jackets, paired with some cute jeans, under a cover up, or with your favorite short skirt or shorts. Adding crochet pieces to your wardrobe is a great way to accentuate texture. The unique take on this beachwear is sure to have its fans feeling comfortable in the variety of styles and cover-ups offered while also looking really good. Alba, Kristen Stewart and Ashley Greene.
This beach wear is aimed at celebrating the island vibe and bringing Hawaiian designs to the mainland, the first season of Beauty and the Beach embodied true Aloha style – a laid-back sexiness, flirty-fun irreverence, and a splash of retro-cool. The second season continues that island-chic tradition, and adds hints of other exotic beach flavors, from Rio to the Riviera. The great thing about Beauty and the Beach is that they design swimwear and accessories that they want to wear themselves – and that they think you’ll love. Lycra styles fit well and have an air of femininity; crochet designs are made with quality yarns that both feel and look fabulous; and accessories are high-style and imaginative.
