Alice + Olivia

Tired of constantly having to tailor their clothes so they would fit just so, Stacey Bendet Wiener and best friend Rebecca Winn decided to start making their own. They started with the most troublesome garments, pants, and set about making the perfect pair. They started their own fashion design company and named it after their mothers, Alice + Olivia.

Stacey and Rebecca are 24 and 25 years old respectively. Stacey was an advertising executive and Rebecca a web site developer. Both went to the University of Pennsylvania but neither studied fashion there. They both loved to shop and have their own clothes made. Everyone always wanted their pants so they decided that maybe everyone should be able to have their pants. Living in New York City they ran up against the common problem of not enough closet space for all their clothes. What they noticed was that they were up against the denim drudgery of way too much of one color taking up way too much closet space, they wanted COLOR and they wanted it to be fun and have a funky flare with a cool low slung fit.
