Karol Solomons, womenswear buyer at London boutique Harpers, reveals that its best-selling jean is the pink A-pocket Niagara Wash, £145, by 7 For All Mankind. .

"These have been flying off the shelves since we brought them in," she says. .

"The style means that it fits curves well and flares just a little after the knee to make legs look skinnier and hip and bum smaller." .

"The ones by 7 For All Mankind have been very popular, because I think they are easy to wear," she says. .

"You can wear them easily with a black jacket in the evening for a smart look, and they can often pass for work trousers." .

"Whether belted, buttoned or bomber, a denim coat is just so now," she says..
