Established in 2004, 3J Workshop is one of six divisions stemming from the Johnny Was Collection. Created by the Levite family in 1987, Johnny Was emphasized the feminine with vintage-inspired pieces made with easy-to-care-for fabrics. All six of its divisions are meant to inspire the modern woman in all her forms with JWLA representing the quintessential California surf chick, the Biya Collection offering bold and eclectic silhouettes, Pete & Greta offering lifestyle basics with an edge, 4 Love and Liberty catering to the fashion-forward sophisticate, and 3J Workshop creating classic pieces for the modern woman. The 3J Workshop Collection was based off the idea of taking the classic menswear shirt and giving it a chic feminine revision. Carried in boutiques across the US and internationally, this line, as well as its brother lines, have continued to provide comfortable and stylish pieces for every woman.
Each piece in this collection is easy to wear, whether you want to dress it up with some skinny jeans and heels or dress it down with a pair of your favorite leggings, 3J Workshop shirts are a must-have for every girl’s wardrobe. Like putting on your boyfriend’s shirt, each piece is comfortable enough to want to live in but includes uniquely feminine details that make it for “her” and not “him.” With so many unique elements in each piece, there is no accessorizing necessary. From the beautiful flowers embroidering the sleeves to the keyholes in the neckline, you may as well forget the jewelry. Just throw on one of these 3J Workshop pieces and you will have a sophisticated finished look. Colorful florals, embroidered details, and a comfortable fit make 3J Workshop a favorite for celebrities like Mary Kate and Ashley Olson, Nicole Richie, and Lindsay Lohan.
