The Fall 2011 Collection features an interesting contrast between dark, seasonal prints and lightweight fabrics. Channeling hints of a boho vibe along with dresses, tops, and an assortment of thick sweaters, faux fur vests and oversized velvet blazers in black, green and navy. Where apparel is print-heavy, shoes and handbags will stick to a palette of blacks and browns.
As a world-traveled designer from Los Angeles, Cynthia Vincent has universal appeal and is widely regarded as one of the fashion world’s top contemporary designers. She channels her energy into classic, feminine, fresh silhouettes that encourage women to express their individuality through well-conceived, impeccably crafted, timeless garments.
Cynthia began her love affair with fashion at the early age of six and later studied at Otis Art Institute of Parsons School of Design under the M.A.G.I.C scholarship. After graduating with a Silver Thimble Award, the fashion world immediately took notice. Cynthia was recruited by a handful of prestigious design houses including Harriet Selwyn before launching her first company, St. Vincent, in 1993. St. Vincent was an immediate success and Cynthia consequently merged St. Vincent to form the contemporary line Vince.
In 2003 Cynthia launched TWELFTH STREET BY CYNTHIA VINCENT. Named after the street she grew up on, the media immediately applauded TWELFTH STREET’s irresistible combination of casual elegance and pitch perfect style. On-trend but never trendy, the collection became one of the fastest growing, “must-have” labels in the marketplace. From Sienna Miller to Ashley Olsen, the line instantly became a celebrity favorite.
Cynthia added shoes to the TWELFTH STREET collection in 2003. Created out of the designer’s innate love of shoes and the desire to offer her customer high quality, beautifully designed footwear at prices comparable to her collection, the launch was a success. Just as the clothing received immediate attention, so did Cynthia’s heels, gladiators and ballerina flats. Scarlet Johanson, Nicole Ritchie and Liv Tyler are but a few of TWELFTH STREET’s devout shoe shoppers.
With the launch of handbags in Fall 2009, today TWELFTH STREET BY CYNTHIA VINCENT is a complete lifestyle collection. Drew Barrymore and Rachel Bilson have already been spotted with the bags, and if the past is any indication of what is to come, there is no measure to the success of the new handbag line.
